Brian Clough

Hi guys,

Mate of mine is at Uni doing a dissertation on football management/personality etc
Brian Clough is one that he wishes to discuss. Are there any Derby Forest of Leeds fans able to give their opinions on the man and who he was?

How is it that Leeds fans get such a reputation for being thick tvvats? It’s baffling.

Coming from a Direby fan, I'm impressed you got as close as baffling!

The name was given fondly during/after your club's 2007/08 glorious Prem season.

I think Frank Lampard has been a classy individual and will be a success with you as long as he his given time.

Just remind everybody where Leeds were in the 2007/2008 season, there’s a good chap.

In other news, Shaqiri attempting a Tom Lawrence-esque chip and failing, (but they did score eventually).

No sorry, we talking Direby now.

Actually, not sorry.

Brian Clough was a great manager but a flawed one. At Leeds, those flaws were exposed and proved to be his undoing. Perhaps his biggest weakness was his refusal to accept he wasn't always right. I suspect his Leeds experience was the big regret of his life.

Leeds were languishing in the Third Division, yes, the Third Division of English football. Not too sure you’re in a position to claim bragging rights for that season.

Thanks, if it wasn't for you we would never have known.

We are not claiming bragging rights at all.

Just recognizing how dire you were that season. That's all.

Goodnight and good luck!
