Matic

Now, i know he isnt everyones cup of tea, but i must admit ive been quite impressed with him since Solskjaer came in.

seems to be moving the ball around quicker and has played some very good balls forward too.

has anyone else seen a marked improvement in his game since Mourinho left?

We’ve got quite a few positions that need strengthening, especially to get up to the levels of the best team in Europe. Though it’s worth noting that it’s not simply a case of having amazing players in each position, certain players and a coach that can build a team to become more than the sum of its parts could make a few of the lesser players go up a level.

That said, full backs are probably the weakest area of the pitch regardless of coach, in my opinion.

We have seen some immediate improvements in the individual and collective effectiveness of some of the players, for one or (likely) more reasons.

But we are yet to see any improvements that can really be put down to the specific coaching of individuals to fulfil specific roles. Ole's team simply haven't had time to do that yet.

We might yet see some surprising results, and I don't think we should be casting final judgments on players or letting players go until the summer.

well I don't think he could get any worse, he was literally a non factor before ole, yes he does move the ball a bit quicker but still gets disposed and caught out quite a bit(Newcastle 1st half), team gets in trouble quite a bit if he's in the opposition half when we lose position and he has to chase back, we still need a upgrade there end of season maybe even this month(that wont happen though)

Been speaking about Chelsea’s lack of homegrown players on another thread, I think the club will be keeping an eye on ours in the coming years with regard to new signings.

We have ten as it stands, but many of those have their contracts coming to an end or have question marks over the future at the club.
