Transfer business done early

Fair play to the board, I criticised them last week as it looked like once again they were ill prepared and stuttering to get deals over the line.

That’s 3 deals done in 8 days and although we’ve only spent around £2 million, I expect that to prove good business for the rest of the season at least which is our upmost priority.

Reading a few snippets online about Bayo and Didier Drogba speaks very highly of him and tried to have Galatasaray sign him in the summer.

His record for FC DAC is 23 goals in 33 games, he also has 10 assists within that time. Those stats give me hope that this isn’t an Amido Balde scenario

Of course a work permit is still to be obtained but that doesn’t appear to be an issue and he will join up with the squad in Dubai later today.

The good thing about these signings is none of them will need time to get up to speed, all 3 will be ready to hit the ground running next week.

Rodgers is expecting 2 more in this window and given we now have 9 forwards/wingers on the books, they will be defenders. This is where the majority of the funds will be spent which is good news, I’d love us to sign the boy Castagne as he appears to be exactly the type of right back we should be attracting but at £10 million its debateable.

Nonetheless, slightly more relaxed now than a was this rime last week.
