16 goals in 2 games

Without the most feared striker in the country. Obviously the second leg will be mostly youngsters and those not getting game time. Chelsea would be the team to fear in the final, proven cup team with winners in it.

Big job is chasing Liverpool, starting with Wolves. Have to hope the officials are more awake to offside handballs and taking Merlin out than the last time we met but with KDB almost fully back and Mendy not far away the rest of the season looks ok.

Respect to Pep for keeping the line ups strong in both games. Still being in all 4 comps he could of sacrificed one of them and played weakened teams and probably still progressed.

If one of your key players had been injured you might be singing a different tune.

btw: What is the point of beating a team like Burton Albion 9-0?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You think it would have been better to lose to them?

Or maybe because there will be a chance for more of the academy players in the second leg? Thanks for your input.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Amazing lack of logic in your response. I was not suggesting that they lose, but why run up the score?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The point of the game of football is to outscore your opponent, whoever they are.

Hope that helps as you seem to be channeling Adrian Durham.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What’s more unsportsmanlike? Us keeping the ball and spreading around the pitch without a hope of Burton getting a touch and us going “olé, olé”? Or achieving the objective in the game of football?

If City got where they were by their own efforts then fine. But they didn't they are being bankrolled by a country, which gives them a completely unhealthy advantage over all of the opposition.

You were literally bankrolled by 3 banks for your new stadium. What's the difference?

Exactly. I bet the Spurs owner spent as much on a birthday present for him as he did on players for the club he owns. Obviously cannot spend much time there though as the taxman would come a calling.

Problem is wums who support clubs who have dodgy owners who take rather than give and who avoid tax.. Those owners should be banned.

Isn't it pretty common knowledge that Spurs are partly financed by large under the table donations from the Jewish sector?

The club who have neighbours blocking the development of the Toilet Bowl who spontaneously self combust? You cannot mean that surely?
