From one bench to another

Been a very good servant for Arsenal. 2 match winning FA cup final goals and has been a key player in MF providing goals and assists

Apart from Torreira we're still lacking quality in that area (Ramsey wasn't good enough obviously).

Well the 2 players are different players and I’d beg to argue that if Juve think he’s good enough for them, he’s good enough for this Arsenal side!

You could argue that but having watched Ramsey for his entire Arsenal career I can tell you he isn't good enough for Arsenal.

Juve may suit him better though, who knows but I personally can't see him as a starter there. They've taken a fairly low risk signing here as his new wages aren't that high given he's on a free.

Everything I’ve read says he’s the second highest earner behind Ronaldo there now which says they rate him.

Differing opinions obviously but he’s more than good enough to get in this current Arsenal side and it’s a bad deal losing a player valued around £35m for nothing.

We lost Ramsey as soon as was allowed to run down his contract. You can't blame the current director of football for that.

Ramsey should have been sold in January what’s the point of keeping him now and what if he get injured while with us. This is why we need to improve our negotiation policies it’s a joke we can’t even tie down deals and end up keeping a rejected player with zero motivations.

35m would be great for him, definitely possible in todays insane market. But his contract is up and we pulled our offer because we don't consider him worth keeping (I completely agree with the club here, he's never fully established himself as a long term first team player)

Just because Juve have made him a very decent earner doesn't mean they rate him particularly high.

The deal they've got is a total contract value of 36m. If you think he's worth 35 then they're getting him on a long term contract for an extra 1m, that means they're effectively forking out £3,846.15 p/w to cover his wages over 5 years.

It's low risk and worth it for them, the actual wage is 140k p/w according to reports so they could likely get rid fairly easily and turn a decent profit.

It's a great move for Ramsey btw, where would you rather warm the bench. Struggling London based Arsenal who are scrapping in the Europa or serial League winners and CL challengers Juventus in Turin?

It's a no brainer unless you actually like the sesspit that is London

Ramsey's agent has reportedly earned €9m for the Juve deal. Agents earn between 20-30% so Ramsey's signing on fee must be €30m. And his wages are £140k a week.

So the cost Juve over 5 years was = £69m

Or to keep him it would have cost us = £265k a week.
