Janssen must stay till end of season!

Would we get a better 3/4th Striker than Janssen?

Kane
Son
Llorente
Janssen

All can play upfront as a pair or one. I think we don't have any issues as back up for Kane. I can't see us signing better quality than any of these guys to sit on the bench.

what's interesting to me is that all can play in a duo. Doesn't matter which combo you pick.

CM and a fast LB are needed..(Note to Levy)

Oh, and on the subject: Janssen must stay till end of season!

He hasn't played in ages, Fenebache wanted to cancel his loan deal (as he was that carp), had injuries, no where near fit and is so amazingly average it's unreal. So I highly doubt anyone will be interested in him in this window anyway

if he had stayed fit he could have been a player given the right opportunities. He got more slack than he deserved and wasnt half as bad as what people made out. Feel sorry for him, as ultimately he is too injury prone to make it, cant see him playing for spurs again.

He doesn't have a squad number so pretty sure he wont feature again. Could be wrong of course...

I’d have him til the end of the season. We’re paying him, and he’s not a bad player. When he first joined and Kane got injured I thought he was really unlucky not to score anything other than pens during that time. He wasn’t taking up good positions, his hold up play was good, he was bringing teammates into play really well. It just wouldn’t happen in front of goal for him and with every game that passed more pressure got healed on him, which didn’t help bearing in mind it was his first few months in England.

I always felt we let him go too soon. He was a young guy with potential. Obviously Poch sees what goes on in training and we know he’s a stickler for commitment, attitude etc. so if Janssen has stepped out of line there might be no way back. Having said that, it’s common knowledge that Poch called a clean slate at the start of the season for all players, paving the way back for Toby & Rose, so surely this should apply to VJ.

But he needs time on the pitch to take his opportunity. It’s like Llorente, it’s criminal how much we underuse him when you think of how many minutes Kane’s had to play. If we’re gonna expect him to come in and do a job then he at least has to get 15 minutes on a regular basis rather than 3 minutes once a month. And he at least has proper PL experience, VJ doesn’t really even have that so we’re setting him up to fail. We’re not gonna be buying a new striker, Poch doesn’t really fancy Llorente, Sons away so why the fack not give VJ another go - run him out against Palace in the FAC.

Good shout mate..... The other point I always wondered about was what kind of expectations did he join the club with ? I wonder if, knowing what he knows now, that he'll only ever be Kane's back up means he can play with no pressure/ no expectation..... It might help him. He always looked like he was trying too hard. Coming from being the top scorer in the Dutch league he might have fancied himself a bit too much and when the reality set in the pressure broke him

He had plenty of chances to be fair. He got a good run in the team. Missed LOADS of sitters when he did get into good positions.

Maybe it was too soon for him for the PL. Shame we couldn't give him some gametime in the cup games.

If Poch can make Rickie Lambert look good then surely he can help out Vin...

the way I see it, Poch wouldn't use him anyway, so no point having him.
