It’s a myth that they’ve improved. They rode their luck a lot early on in the season to get results.

Eric Dier level at best. Probably a better CB than a DM, good defender but average on the ball, lost easy passes so much today. I remember Dier’s first season as a DM when everyone said he’s a ‘revelation’..then realised he is what he is, looks like a CB playing in midfield.

On a side note I really hope he declares for the Republic but I’d understand if he doesn’t.

Mick has spoken to him and his Dad since he took the job. But so has Southgate. Would love to see him in green we really need some quality.

Being Eric Dier level isn’t bad

It’s just he suffered from the same hype when coming through that makes people think he’s bad now. He’s a solid enough utility player at a top club. Rice will probably be the same. West Ham will benefit a lot financially from the hype drumming around him.

Definitely. He could make a massive difference to our side. Quietly confident for the qualifying campaign for some reason.

Once Rice consistently plays for a top 3 team from age 21-24, scores a winner vs Germany, scores a freekick at the Euros, and scores the winning pen to put England through to the WC quarters... then he would be at the level of even Eric Dier
