No plan survives first contact

With the Enermy,

Well yesterday that was true and it was one of them wasour poor old Mendy.
Once they got ahead they then get as soft own goal from Mendy and Kasper.
It does matter if the have got ten men if nine of them defend the box any team is going to struggle.
Team selection i was surprised with three defencive midfielders that only works if the two wing backs push up Pierra could not string a pass together and Chilwell was having a teenage spat with Val which could of seen him sent off.
Why are we so timid at home? Again another team with first choice players.
Have the players lost faith i can understand Kasper and Vardy not having it because neither are suited to this way of playing.
Looking fro positives we have fine crop of young players but not a team that cant beat lower positioned teams who are fighting for their lives.
Will Puel go not unless someone is available and not the bung merchant who would sell off our young talent to line his pockets.

Puel is finding changing this team as difficult as CR did and Shakey realized. should he be sacked i have moved to dungs fence if you take on the old lags both on and off the pitch and you are going to lose even if you have just won the premier league.

Am i still Puel stays yes because why should you give up on a project that has brought some of the best young players into the first team and are still a top 10 team not something we can say we have been when we have been in the premiership in our previous visits.

The chairman at the beginning of the season will of given him the objective of evolving the team and finish in the top ten or you get the chop.

I await you considered and unbiased response not!

Sorry Nev, I didn’t spot that. Southampton were great at all.

Ok all you doom mongers did anyone spot that Southampton actually played well and got the win because of that and being more like our manager wants clinical?
Or is that too obvious?

Nope just you through your Puel tinted glasses.

Southampton are a shocking team who were in the bottom 3 before yesterday and started a striker who had not scored in 33 games, had a man sent off in the first half and still beat us.

When you play 3 defensive mised midfielders at home ton elegation fodder you know the manager has lost the plot.

who had just beaten Arsenal

And? If you hadn't noticed Arsenal are a very average team in a poor run of form.

Occasionally there’s a point in saying that the opposition played well, but this was a team who had Shane Long up front and spent the entire second half playing a desperate 5-4-0 formation.

If “played well”means “they tried hard”, then yes. Which makes it all the worse that we were unable to match them.

I thought that Southampton defended really well in the second half. That doesn't explain how we let them score twice in the first half.

They defended well enough against a team who neither moved the ball quickly or sent a big man (Maguire) up front.

dear oh dear its the same old c**p on here every week, Southampton won because we are clueless, we must be the easiest team to play against in the whole lge, just sit back and close the space because we will give the ball we always do. We cant pass the f***ing ball so why do we keep trying.

I said that latter point yesterday to the guy next to me. It was crying out for Harry or even Wes to go up there and make things uncomfortable for them.
