Wembley attendance

Good win today guys

One thing and I noticed is the attendance today was 80,062. I thought Spurs fans have been saying that the stadium is being limited to 55,000 to justify their puny attendances lately.

Maybe the Londoners were just happy to see a big team come to town.

Can't wait to see how this team performs under Ole when we finally get tested

It takes a big team to fill up Wembley.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They opened all four stands today.

Yeah, Hengy clarified this at the start of the article.
I was surprised it was full capacity against you guys today tbh.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal Chelsea and Liverpool are arguably the biggest 3 Games. We were full house against Inter in the CL and would expect us FH against Dortmund. Strange.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
United still the biggest draw in townsame as always
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We might have asked for a few more than the original 5 rapt now we are staying longer.

Not sure why they stopped it at 81k though

Just looking at your attendances since the cap came in, are you sure the base limit isn't 45,000, not the 55,000 usually quoted?

Think it’s 51k but then segregation on top drops it to about 49k.

Not making excuses though lots of fans are staying away.

It’s not what we was promised and most have had enough of Wembley.

Plus the prices are more than last season.

51,000 for most games. Couldn’t give a crap about attendances there anymore anyway. When I go I hope it’s down to the bare minimium just so I can get away easier. I know a quite a few ST holders that haven’t bothered going at all this season, club are reimbursing for each game missed so next season’s ST is more or less paid for.

It’s a complete joke of a national stadium. No money has gone into regenerating the area. What are they building around the stadium? Blocks of flats
This might be controversial but when it came to redeveloping it they should have scrapped the idea and built a brand new stadium in a better part of London. It is easier for me to say this I know as I’ve been there about 20-25 times over the last 18 months, but I bloody hate it and I live in Hackney ffs.

There is a lot of development going on around Wembley atm, I currently for an an Engineering and Construction company and they’ve got a few projects around the stadium. Still the area isn’t great.

I went a couple of years ago and was shocked at how awful the area around Wembley was. I know a lot of stadiums aren't located in the nicest areas but it just seemed wilfully ugly, a grey wasteland of industrial estates and car parks and shabby buildings with smashed windows.

Still is Jalisco. Wembley is surrounded by hotels and high rise new build apartments and then nothing. I always go to Kingsbury for drinks before and after the game. In and out of Wembley, cannot stand the area.
