That has to be just about the most one sided match I have seen Spurs have since they started the Wembley games. Hard to believe they lost a game they completely dominated. But for some poor finishing, the United Goalie having his best game of the season, Spurs would have been celebrating a 6 or 7-1 win. Somehow United have absolutely stolen a victory today.
Spurs put in a really decent performance, and but for the hapless Trippier (does he really earn/steal a living as a footballer?) gifting the ball away yet again, surely Spurs would have taken at the very minimum a point.
I am certainly not downhearted after seeing Spurs completely outplay United today, and not getting the victory their play deserved. But it is a points based business, and it was three points thrown away.
Maybe best now to concentrate on the cups, let City have the league, and try to nail down some silverware in the form of the cups this season. Let`s hope the injuries are not too bad.
Surely as well both KWP and Aurier must be banging on Poch`s door tomorrow morning and ask WTF is going on with the Trippier love in. He really, really is the weakest link in the Spurs side, and surely has to now be dropped. I don`t get why KWP put in a MOM performance a few games back, then has not been seen since, Aurier scored two goals, and has not been seen since, and why does he keep persisting with the Championship player that is Trippier, I just don`t get it.
Anyway on to Fulham next week, try to at least get the top four back on track, and thankfully away from the awful Wembley for a week or two.

You can't be too mad, it looks like it was exactly like our game against United at home last season when we had shot after shot and DeGea just kept getting in the way. We ended up losing 3-1 i think but it could easily have been 4/5/6 to us.

in the first half United shouldve had 3, spurs didnt hit the target once.
pogba couldve had 2 before your late onslaught.
youre letting the last 20-25 blind you tot he fact United shouldve been long into the distance before your guys started testing De Gea's footwork.

Just watched the highlights again, and if anything the game was even more one sided than when I watched it in real time. Spurs had more chances than United even in the first half. Other than the goal United only had another couple of chances, Spurs had a dozen or so. United will not get a luckier win tis season.
