Looking like Martin O'Neil has the job

A good source of mine says MO has the job! Be very happy with that if it's true

A recent survey has shown that people who correct other people's grammar online are bacially "jerks"

Low self esteem, etc etc.

I wish MON all the best, he’s a Leicester legend for what he did for us. I personally think he is past his very best and hasn’t been quite the same since John Robertson retired - but given time (and that is key) he could be a good appointment to get forest promoted. He does need time though.

Robbo still has faith in him. Assume the question was asked about whether he would come out of retirement to help...

“Every manager needs time, there is no shadow of a doubt about that and, quite often at clubs, they do not always get that time. It is the one thing every manager needs.“

And therein lies the problem with Forest right now. O’neill will be binned off if he doesn’t get promotion this season - which is probably one step too far when you’re building

Congratulations on getting a decent manager and a decent human being. Things are looking up for you. Now try to be worthy of your goos fortune and a good decision. And you have a good squad.

Still no word on Keane, although Pearce reckons Roy would love the assistant’s job at the CG.

I doubt Keane will come, he was famously on €700k a year as Ireland Assistant Manager, a part time role that allowed him to do as much media work as he wanted. He prob took home £2m easily with all his media gigs. Is he really gonna join Forest as full-time Assistant Manager on a wage of maybe 2 or 300k (absolute tops) a year? Its well and good being an Assistant to a high profile guy in International football but in tier two football you either are the main man or stay at home and coin in the cushy media work!

He will want to stay in the loop and that means going where the work is and staying relevant. Unlikely to get his own managerial role at the moment so needs to keep his face in the frame. Can’t really do that as a pundit?
