I would say shocking but it seems to be a thing of recent times in London. Throwing bananas and now racially abusing your own players.

I saw Chelsea fans in the news last week again https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/jan/08/police-chelsea-sexual-assault-racist-chants-train

There was Man U fans in home end. There was a cheer when they scored. Sounds like one of them.

Couple things -

1. It's Fan. Not Fans. 1 idiot within a crowd of over 80,000.

2. To some extent this is a good thing. Not good that this awful behavior occurs, because it always has and still does in small pockets at every club. Good that people now report it, and then go on social media if they are not satisfied with the action taken. It used to be accepted but now, even though racism is much reduced, it is something that people are not afraid to report, even for small one-off occurrences like this.

There is zero tolerance. Some times i think this goes too far , especially with regards to some forms of stereotyping, which are more humorous than offensive. That song about Lukaku's was seen as racially offensive even though its not really derogatory, whereas a song about Scots being pasty, ginger and sun burn easily would just be laughed at.

But i suppose, the less blurred the line is the better.

Wrong maf,80,062

All tiers were open and it’s one of the games we used for a full attendance.most games are capped at 51,000 tho.

The idiot guilty of the abuse will be identified by cctv cameras in the ground and banned hopefully.

Spurs have a service where you can text a number and report any abuse during the game.
