Trent

Not good news, not good news at all. He's out for a month with knee ligament damage. No need for surgery, but, equally, no definite return date. Who is best placed to replace him?

Fabinho plays RB for Brazil, not sure what the problem is tbh.

suprised by the calmness of some on here. just don't understand the loan move when clyne is 2nd right back not fifth. whatever happened to no square pegs in round holes?

It would be difficult to understand if he was second choice but he isnt. Four players have started ahead of him all season. He was fifth choice, hence being loaned. Why would you loan him if he was second choice for crying out loud?

Some real drama queens on here. Calm the feck down.

i'm calm just wondering. gomez for me should never play right back why risk it he's a very good cb partner for vvd. milner can play anywhere in a pinch but again better in the midfield. same with fab, didn't know he played so much right back but ideally he would be better just in front of the back four.
that leaves clyne who i think is one of the best english right backs. rather have two good players at each position rather than have people filing in all over the place. anyway just my opinion, i think klopp is the best manager in the pl.

I think people are missing the obvious here.

If we play Fabinho at RB then we automatically lose his influence in the middle. Same with Milner.

You’re sacrificing a midfielder to play RB and yes, he plays RB for Brazil which is a fair point but we’re not Brazil. We play in a different style with different players. He’s not familiar with that role for Liverpool.

In a title run in, I think it’s very risky and like I said, the bigger issue is losing the influence in midfield for which many on here have been praising him of late. Even more so now that Wij is out too.

As things stand, we will have to play a midfielder at right back for one game which is not a huge deal.

Hopefully it’s one game. If Zaha has a field day against our RB, we’ll all bemoan the decision.

Thankyou Metro 100% correct.

It’s not a criticism of Klopp but why does everyone get so defensive over something that could be? Yet again we are getting rid of good squad players for no reason at the most important time of the season.

For so long now over the years teams have had squads big enough to cope and players realise they can’t play every game for the top teams. But can come in and perform well when needed. Why does it have to be different for us?

11 players can’t play every game over a whole season and Clyne is needed now. It doesn’t benefit us at all him going to Bournemouth it’s just Clyne moaning about not playing. Tough sh*t you are part of the squad in a massive season, deal with it.

Well it only leaves Clyne if you take away the other four who start ahead of him but we aren't doing that, hence why he was loaned out.

We could plat Shaqiri at right back, Moreno as a number 10 and loan Bobby to Cardiff for the rest of the season. Dunno why Jurgen hasn't thought of that yet.
