The vote of no confidence.

For all those hoping that there is an imminent General Election, ask yourselves this question.......

Are the Tories (who are thought of as the most self-serving party) really going to vote themselves out of power?

Because that’s (IMO) what’s required to force a General Election. Not gonna happen.

Brexit has become a desperate mess. I voted for leave but have zero faith now that can be delivered properly by either party. Both May and Corbyn are utter drips who I wouldn't trust with a pair of scissors let alone a country. And yet we have to entrust one of these mongs to bring about a successful Brexit. Never going to happen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Negotiation is a two-way thing.

We were never going to be able to deliver on what most thought Brexit would be, except where there is a no deal. Many will have thought that that is what would happen anyway. Vote OUT and then at some given date all ties are severed.

Few will have comprehended the complexity of it all and many of the implications when they voted

The EU were always going to make this as painful as possible to discourage others, to ensure the club doesn't dissolve with other members heading for the exit.

True but if you listen to Farage, Johnson and Gove you could use the following letter as an analogy…………..

“Dear SKY

I no longer wish to pay for your services and give you my 30 days’ notice to cancel my subscription.

However I do still wish to receive all the channels I currently receive, the same broadband and whilst I’m at it, I may as well keep my landline service as well. Give me what I want because you need me and tell all your other customers you’ve given me this deal as well.

Yours sincerely

The man on the moon.”

Which is pretty much what they’ve said we could do with the EU.

It’s easy for people that don’t have to do the negotiating to say they’d do, when they’re in full knowledge that they would never have to do the negotiating.

The letter to Sky analogy only works if Sky have serious connection issues, a bad satellite, unpleasant customer service and keep sending someone to live in your house as part of a mass movement policy

Oh it's you. What a shock.

So they didn't suggest that we should push for the same benefits we're currently receiving as being paid up members?

OK you're right as usual

As you mentioned not going to happen. Tories would do anything to stay in power.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't be naive. Any party would do anything to get in / stay in power.

Labour trying to make political gain out of this situation and force GE as its their best chance of power. That should not be their focus right now.

Like May was not taking advanage of the situation when she called a very unnecessary General Election a year or so back. She is now running scared. Awful leader of a truely dreadful party.
