I hope this doesn't come across as self indulgent but I've learned the true meaning of perspective this week.
With all the talk of who we should or shouldn't buy and the news of Harry Kane's injury it all paled into meaningless nothingness when my beloved dad passed away on Tuesday.
He would have been 90 in May so he had a good innings and Spurs actually won the double on his birthday in 1961.
His all time hero was Jimmy Greaves and he always talked about him until the end, he had been taking regular trips on the bus from Enfield to check on the progress of the new stadium but sadly he will never see Spurs play there.
That's all I wanted to say apart from RIP Dad forever in my heart.

It's also not self-indulgent at all. It's nice to share things sometimes. I'm all for having some banter on here but some things are bigger than football.

Yes Grandspur was a friend of his.
Squid had quite a few medical issues and he was losing his sight. He had a big 60" television and had to be only about 3 feet away to see anything.

That's bad news man!
At least he managed to see Spurs on the rise in the last few seasons, competing with some of Europe's best (and beating them).

My old man is 83 this year and keeps saying he wants to see spurs win the league on more time! I hope he does but at least people that age got to see it once or maybe even twice
