Pontus ill-discipline

I deliberately started a new post, I agree with Hay below, the decision to book Pontus was poor and no matter how many times I look at it, I cannot see a foul, let alone a booking. Pontus just out-muscled. He does move as if to grab the attacker's ankle but misses by a country mile.
If the ref had thought there was a foul, unless I am mistaken, given the fact that Pontus was the last defender, then surely the right card was a straight red. The fact Pontus was on a yellow was irrelevant.
Anyway, putting aside the ref's poor handling of the situation, Pontus needs to learn to take a breath and walk away. He lost his rag over the ref live on Sky earlier in the season and was suspended. Today, if he had walked away, in the first half then he wouldn't have been on a yellow in the first place and I doubt even that ref would have been able to justify giving him a straight red for just falling over.
We love him because of his temperament and that is undoubtedly part of what makes him a quality defender but on occasion he just needs to bottle it.
