Mourinho vs Keys

Firstly, I wanted to say my respect for Richard Keys has gone up- whereas Andy Grey stood there lapping everything M,ourinho said and laughing, Keys asked him some hard questions and did not back down.

The interview is not revolutionary in that it is just the boring one being the boring one, living on past glory, still talking about his Madrid side, Inter side, and comparing himself to Simeone. Let me add the man is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best manager in the last 20 years, and I wish him all the success in the coming years- what is apparent however is that Mourinho still thinks his methods can work today, and that to me is really scary.

He is also complaining about signings, Mourinho spent nearly 400 million pounds on players to serve us some of the most diabolical football I have seen at OT in the last 20 years.

I wake up everyday and have to smile we have got rid of this guy, he really was the virus.

Diafol, yep I agree with that. I think the problem is that Fergie is the only person who could command such a position, so these issues at board level will continue to remain.

There could be a change of tact, and a different approach taken, but it remains to be seen whether it will and whether they’ll be competent enough to enact it effectively.

That's the million dollar question. No one can command quite as much respect as SAF but we need someone in that mould who also has his finger on the modern game pulse. Very important to get this right.

What's wrong with you? You've asked my age or mental age MULTIPLE TIMES this week!
+++

I have asked your age once. Which you ignored.

FYI I question your mental age because you come over as really aynal and quite immature for an adult.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
You have less self-awareness than a gnat and a shorter memory than a goldfish.

I've given my age on this site a few times. I've discussed my background and career with plenty of folk on different threads too.

I'll happily put aside our squabbles on here and have genuine discussions with you. I used to have them with Scholay in the past too. I hope Scholay has been able to take up his aspiration of becoming a travel writer as he seems like a really interesting guy (when he's not making up sheite about me). I repeat, I'd happily try to have similar honest discussions with you (or anyone else for that matter) too.

To be honest, I just don’t think it’s something the club are exploring. Which is probably the most worrying part.

Haha, it is all fun and laughter Brightdave. I don't think I am good enough to go down the writing route. I just went to Brazil (Rio) this past December however, and I have to say I am done with London. Apart from the lovely latin women, gun shots from the favelas even though I was staying in Copacana, everyone was just so happy and full of life.

I have put my flat on the market and hopefully going to go on the road for the next 3 years come the end of this year.

Writing is tough but it is a skill that can be developed. Don't write yourself off (pun intended ).

Brasil would have been very interesting. I dated a plant geneticist from Rio but sadly never made a visit there.

Last time we talked travel I think you said you were heading off to Mogadishu (my apologies if I've not remembered correctly). Good writing takes a lot of drafting. I'd happily read about Mogadishu and Rio travel articles on here so practice on us. The Spurs lads and a few others had a good travel thread going for a while so I'm sure there's plenty that would be interested in your musings.

My next trip just got cancelled. The missus and I were booked to go skiing, snowboarding and checking out the Sapporo Hokkaido Ice Festival next month. Ever been there and seen it?

I suppose as long as money is being made the owners will be quite happy. That's why we need someone there to guide the football side of things. If things go well on the pitch the surely they'd make even more money?

Having said all that I will take the baby steps we have now where at least I'm looking forward to seeing us play again. Yes yesterday wasn't great but it was still far more positive than what we've seen previously this season before Christmas. Winnings isn't a bad habit and as long as a below par performance is the exception rather than the norm I'm happy.

See this ‘Judge’? ^^^

This is what happens when people meet people halfway. I’d imagine the mental ages on display here are sufficient to navigate the internet in a way that doesn’t have to be always confrontational like you seem to be on a daily basis.

Learn from it my friend and we can break bread one day. 👍🤘
