Celtic 3 v 0 Airdrie

A rather predictable outcome from the game on Saturday, gets some match sharpness back into the players and we could and should have scored 6 or 7.

First off, let me start by asking the question, what the fluck is going on with the Celtic pitch? An utter embarrassment these days, what was the point of this hybrid pitch if it looks like a sand park come January? There hasn’t been a game on it for 4 weeks and that’s what we come back too, total red neck.

Then we come on to the enigma of Scott Sinclair, he really annoys me, he’s no longer a winger, he doesn’t want to take a man on but he’s playing like the best poacher at the club by a mile. He’s scored 2 goals; 2 poacher foals, misses a penalty, missed an absolute sitter from 2 yards out and had a goal wrongly ruled out for offside that decision was embarrassing btw, not even flooking close.

The other noticeable player was Oli Burke up top, as I suspected he was like a fish out of water first half, clearly not a centre forwRd as he has the mobility of a statue with his back to goal. 2nd half he was a bit better and started coming deep and turning on the ball and linking up pretty well, should have scored. My concern was his attitude and lack of effort in the first half, looked like he’d rather be anywhere else but Celtic Park

However, what a cameo that was from 18 year old Timothy. His goal will obviously be the thing everyone remembers but for me, his desire, speed and quality on the ball out with the goal was what impressed me most, he’s a talent and a half and if he can progress over the next 5 months he’ll be a real asset

A quick note to the Airdrie goalkeeper, safe to say we all know what team he supports but it’s been amusing to see his ex-teammates and fellow colleagues from the lower divisions absolutely slaughter him for his antics, his barge on Burke alone was absolutely embarrassing man

Anyway, drawing St Johnstone in the next round means we now play them 3 times in a row , twice at home and once away. I’d have been more concerned if the cup game was away but it’s still not ideal as you almost suspect the other side to pick up a result in one of the games.

St Mirren on Wednesday now and I suspect we’ll see Weah in from the start. Edouard is back in training today but I imagine he won’t feature until Saturday.

KT still out meaning Izzy will deputise and he’s fine for these games, we need KT back for St Johnstone away though ideally.

Few transfer rumours this morning, Nick Powell and Josh Maja both been offered pre contracts by Celtic, both would be decent signings and we are also looking at Fonseca from Porto, right back at a cost of around £2 million.

10 days to go in the window and that RB position has to be sorted.

I've not seen any footage of the keeper ?

What does he do?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apart from playing an imaginary flute, screaming in Scott Brown's face, laughing in Sinclair's face, shoulder barging Burke when the ball passed him 3 seconds prior, not much
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Basically launched a verbal tirade at any Celtic player who went near him...sinclair, weah and burke all got it big time. Also..staring at the crowd whenever he walking back to his goal. Harmless stuff in the great scheme of things...just a bit mental.
He also had a wee kick at izzy when he was lying on the ground at the penalty incident...no force in it...just crazy stuff.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s now passed his test to get promotion in his local ludge 👍

It was his big chance to impress under the lights and live on TV.

What a honey. And a good Tim too.

There’s no ladypart with a richer, headier bouquet than a sheTim’s ladypart.

Like a well-aged oyster.
