Sven leaving Feb 8th

Sven Mislintat, our Head of Recruitment, will be leaving us on February 8, 2019.

Sven has been with us since December 1, 2017 and has done a truly outstanding job in helping us recruit players who are making a big impact now and will do so even more in the future.

We wish him every success for the future and thank him for his extremely hard work on behalf of Arsenal.

Sven said: "It's been an amazing experience to work at a great club like Arsenal in what has been a big time of change. I am excited about what the future holds for the club and am looking forward to new challenges for myself."

Still making no sense. Do you think a scout only looks for players not established?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No but you said Auba, Sokratis were top signings and found by him. Let him look as he had "found" them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No I didn't, I said nothing about finding them. You are making things up.

Well Sven ‘found’ Sokratis and Auba when he was at Dortmund among many other top players so no point questioning his ability to spot talent.

This news is disastrous imo. He’s responsible for the signings of Auba, Sokratis, Mavro, Gwen, Torreira - all players that have either been successful or promising at least. Really annoyed about this.

Sven was a massive coup for us. It sends out warning alarms that he's moving on so soon.

Lets get a few things straight. Who knew what Steve Rowley did for the last two decades? There is no point in exaggerating what a chief scout does.

The most important relatioshsip is between the manager, technical director and chief scout. The manager states what he needs and the chief scout goes to find players that match the requirement of the manager. It is then up to Director of football to assess whether the club can afford a player, or if the player is available. The director of football manages the relationship between the super agents and the club. Not the chief scout. So if the director of football thinks that the chief scout is getting too big for his boots its up to him to appoint someone he can work with. From all the reporting that is what seems to have happened.

So please cry me a river. Sven Mislintat did not scout Leno, Torreira, Sokratis or Aubameyang. Those players were already known. He should be respected for finding Gouendozi. Now if you give the power to Sven Mislintat like he had at Dortmund just keep in mind what kind of structure you are creating. With respect we are not Southampton or Watford that rely on finding unknowns and selling them on for profits. Arsenal are one of the richest clubs in the world. That shouldn't be the structure at Arsenal. I think Raul bringing in an experienced technical director be it Overmars or someone else and then he should choose his own chief scout.

Bloody hell, we all knew the AKB were bas but this is a feckin new breed. J99 is so up the new regime a$$, they cannot do any wrong for hours him.
One of the best Scout in the world is leaving the club after just one year but it's all his fault.
We can't buy any players, it's because of the old regime.
Özil getting drop, it's because Wenger spoiled him
Ramsey is leaving for free, because of Gazidis

😂😂😂😂😂

Jenius - We are broke as a club. We need to find these diamonds so that we can sell them on in the future for a massive fee.

If Torriera / Gwen / Mavro establish themselves and keep improving in a few years time we could see mega money bids for them if we ever decide to sell them.

He was literally with us for 2 Transfer windows, if we backed him fully i think he would hav stayed. He's not just there to unearth talent but also find players that would suit us and what we need.

No we are not. Arsenal are the 7th richest club in the world even without the Champions League income. We are in a mess because of Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) and Short Term Cost Control (STCC) and FFP. A lot of this will sort itself out in the summer and beyond.

The problem is your own bias makes you think thats how others think. Its called projection.

I was anti-Kroenke and now I am pro-Kroenke. I was a AKB that suddenly was a WOB.

I form an opinion based on each issue's merit.

This is not our situation at all.

Whether he's a massive loss or not it still shows how much of a mess the club is to hire a guy and then force him out the door a year later
