Bemused

Watched the Jansson second yellow card several times and came to the conclusion he was given a yellow for trying to ankle tap Afobe although i dont think he tried this. It was the only thing i could come up with.

It seems he was sent off for HANDBALL?

Whats disappointing in situations like this is the inability to appeal. Its not viable to allow all yellow cards to be appealed but surely its common sense that when one yellow becomes two it can be appealed. Cannot think of one logical explanation as to why not? The decision could have already cost us the chance of getting back into the game v stoke - why should we now be a crucial man down for Rotherham? Same for everyone but its about time the lawmakers at least told the fans why

It’s called cheating

While I didn’t see this being the case, we should all be reminded that attempting to trip, kick and strike are all fouls as much as actually doing any of these actions.

Does my head in when commentators discuss whether there was any contact when fouls of that nature are given.

Indeed. Thats why i assumed the referee thought there was an attempted ankle tap. Are we saying now that there was an attempt from Jansson to try and knock the ball away with his hand?

Bottom line for me is that Pontus needs to let his football argue his case, he needs to shut the feck up, not argue with refs and not mouth off to people waving a mike in his face. He is a member of a team and needs to behave like one. Yes we all know refs sometimes make god awful decisions but arguing with them isn't going to make them change their minds.
If he hadn't got the first yellow then, unless the ref was a complete w@nker then he would have stayed on the pitch, as a member of the team. If the ref had seen fit to give him a straight red then that could have been challenged.

Was a second yellow anyway you look at it.

Now were fooked again at the back.

Recurring problem this.

Think fooked is over stating it, either drop Phillips to CB. Casilla, Ayling, Phillips, Cooper, Alioski, Forshaw, Harrison, Clarke, Klich, Pablo and Roofe

or

push Ayling to CB, Casilla, Shackleton, Ayling, Cooper, Alioski, Forshaw, Harrison, Clarke, Klich, Pablo, Roofe.

I was be tempted to do the former and perhaps give Brown a run out for Klich.

Anyway, we have options.

No place for Phillips in second lineup Els?

Speaking on Sky Sports News, Dermot Gallagher, former EPL referee, confirmed the dismissal was for a handball, but he did not agree with the decision.

It was given for handball, he said after watching it back again.

"I don't think it's a handball. If you let him go on, you let him go on, but once you've let him go on I don't think that's really on."

He was then asked if it was the wrong decision.

"I think so," he replied, before former Leeds defender Danny Mills, who was also in the studio gave his take.

Brown is a million miles away from starting.
