We made it!

Really important to win those prem games after the City defeat, injuries esp defensively and the injury to Wijnaldum and then milners sending off means we were pushing players like fabinho into defence and then we had to call on Comancho too!

We simply had to make it to this essentially mid season break, and by hook or crook we did make it, 2 wins out of 2 and boy do we need this break!

We don't play again until 30th of january, hopefully we should have some of these back:

Gomez
TAA
Lovren
Fabinho
AOC
Wijnaldum

I think making it to this break winning those 2 games was essential, for me it means we can rest, recuperate and probably welcome back some of those injured above; we can now attack the 2nd part of the season with relish and full energy, its exactly what we need at the right time.

I truly believe we will now go on and win the title, you couldn't ask for a better time for a lovely mini break when injuries mount, city continue to play and we can come back with a bang at 100mph.

Leicester at home next and I fully expect us to attack them with as much energy and purpose as the first game of the season

Paisley...no I dont think so.

We have imo the best lb, rb, cb in the league and a gk as good as any in the league, up front our 3 players are considered among Europe's best.

Yes city have obv a good squad, be we actually have better players in those positions mentioned.

When u factor in who we played so far its magnificent to be where we are, and we are where we are because we have some of the leagues and europes best players.

Squad needed this mini break. Now we can go all out in the two major competitions. Another mini break next month. Fully justified gamble by Klopp.

Hope the players are enjoying sunny Dubai.

I don’t think any team that surpasses 90 points in the PL could honestly be seen as bottlers.

If anything - you’d be considered very unfortunate.

This concept of "bottlers" labelled at side who after a gruelling season finishes second is made by certain Liverpool and chelsea fans

Calling Spurs as bottlers when Spurs finished 2nd and 3rd, after mounting a brilliant campaign previously while playing scintilating football, by Liverpool and Chelsea fans THAT's stupid.

Spurs were unfortunate too, if you translate the same?

spurs were unfortunate, no doubt. the finishing third in a two horse race was mostly just to p!ss off sandy. this year with the strength of the league anyone who wins will have really accomplished something. even city.

Spurs have actually done outstandingly well its just the 2 teams above them are basically having freakishly good seasons.

I do and have always expected spurs to drop off, not signing players is madness and u get what spurs have got, injuries after too many games

True

The points tally for the top three is incredible already...Ok, bar City maybe.

But City are not getting it easy this year and Pep is sure earning his dough now!

we won;t have made it until the final game of season is over.

next 3 games before CL and utd are crucial imo.. city play two top 6 rivals.

Luck. Where was the luck when we drew psg and Napoli in champs league and chelsea in league cup. And then these fixtures above were squeezed in between games versus city, chelsea, Spurs etc.

And then decisions. Don't make me laugh. Yes we certainly had some our way but then others we didn't like kompany red, Burnley off side goal, Townsend and tomkins handball etc.

Just make it up in your little head the FA, league and everyone else conspiring to let us win the league
