Team for tomorrow

I’d go with:

De Gea
Valencia Jones Lindelof Shaw
Herrera Fred
Lingard Pogba Sánchez
Rashford.

We have to take this game seriously imo. It’s our best and arguably only chance of silverware and that’s what United are about.

I wouldn’t rest Rashford or Pogba as they are our in form players so I’d keep them in. I’d rather rest Rashford on Wednesday if we need to. Pogba got enough rest under Jose.

Martial on the left, Alexis on the right. Lingard gets rested. Dude runs all day long and Martial got subbed early in the last game.

Alexis hasn't played in weeks. He's not going to start in a game this size. How can he? I imagine he'll get 30 mins at most. Probably start Vs Burnley though.

Think Alexis would be way more effective against Arsenal than the hack away free for team like Burnley.

I'd give him 60 minutes or so and bring Lingard to kill the game off. Wished they brought a youngster with them but oh well.

Apparently DDG didn't get on the train with the team today and no player gets special treatment for away games at all.

Unless he's ill or injured I just don't think it's wise resting him. Give Romero the Burnley home game if you must. I expect Romero will have less to do in that game anyway.

FA Cup is the only competition we can win this year realistically. Very disappointed if he's been rested

Resting with Burnley next Tuesday in mind
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So we're guna rest him for a game he's bound to be busy in for a game he might not have to make a single save?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Thought about this initially. Possibly OGS is giving him a little rest if he's tired or got minor knocks that we do not know.
Also could be that Burnley's game is coming up soon on 29-Jan followed by Leicester on 03-Feb.

So if we progress and we get City away do we play Romero again?

I get that he needs games but I wouldn't be resting Dave against quality opposition. Just gives them a lift and in a big game that could make all the difference.

I'm hearing Cech may also start too. He's now their second choice too.

I'll go with whoever Ole picks. He's doing great and knows more about knocks and fatigue than I do.

Romero is a top keeper.

Fred will leave in the summer I reckon.

Rest Tony for Sanchez and keep the rest. Maybe give bailly a game and bring Shaw in for Dalot.
