Lindelof has impressed in the last few games. Not their yet but he has really taken his game a notch

Bailly was notably less aggressive than usual today. Didn't go flying out of position in an attempt to win the ball early at every opportunity like he used to do.

I noticed that as well, especially in our own area.
His leap reminds me of Evra, not the tallest CB in the world but climbs so high.

Lindelof was exceptional today and has been recently. His aerial dual stats are impeccable, but it's more that they were invariably from dangerous balls into the heart of the area.
The first half, in spite of the goals, was still a bit shaky, a bit waiting for others to do something in large parts, as I've been criticising.
Second half was much better, after an inevitable early Arsenal flurry. Controlled the game, waited and sprung cohesively when the occasion allowed. Could easily have won by more in the end. Definitely moving in the right direction. Much better than recent performances

*first paragraph was about Lindelof. Rest of the comment was a general comment about how we've been playing

God to see Eric playing with some restraint, and allowing Phil Jones to cause havoc on the bench. Victor and Eric may not be the next Vidic and Rio, but they are improving and are still very young for their positions.

Bailly and Lindelof should be our starting CB pairing, no doubt.

Jose really did convince us that we had to sell half the squad

I'm not sure you can say 'no doubt'.
Smalling still looks a lot more consistent and dependable than Bailly, alongside Lindelof or otherwise.

Yeah I'm inclined to agree with that. I think Bailly at hospital best would be the best partner for Lindelof. But he does have rushes of blood to the head that can be and have been costly in the past. Hopefully he can cut that out though, as he clearly has the talent and attributes to be one of our first choice centre vacks currently
