This self-appointed "paragon of virtue" should take more note of how his own manager conducts himself in front of the media. Lee Johnson wasn't backward at coming forward with his derogatory comments about the referee in our match against his own Bitter City.
"Robins head coach Lee Johnson insisted the Yorkshire side were "lucky" - and that the game swung on visiting midfielder Josh Brownhill's red card for two bookable offences on 55 minutes, when the score was still 0-0.
"They got away with it," said Johnson after his side's fourth straight defeat. "We were the side who looked like we were going on to win the game until the red card,
"The referee took the easy decision in front of a big crowd. The referee wants to run the show these days.
"There were decisions that we didn't get but I don't care about the refs because they do it to us every week. We have had some poor refs the last few weeks."
Don't know what Johnson was smoking during the match, but 1 shot on target in 90 minutes against our 3rd choice keeper and 37% possession doesn't suggest we were "lucky".
Also, more importantly, it's strange how Johnson wasn't taken to task by the EFL for slamming the referee and referees in general. Any ideas, Lansdown? Can't do any harm to have your own CEO Mark Ashton on the EFL Board of Directors now, can it?
Finally, as was pointed out in one of the comments underneath the article in the link, doesn't expressing a personal opinion during an on-going investigation in which you have a vested interest render you in contempt? It's nothing less than a brazen attempt to prejudice the investigation. Even Shaun Harvey knows where the line is at this point in time. The letter signed by the 11 clubs and sent to the EFL allegedly does not request any form of punishment, rather, specific details regarding the "spying" missions conducted, such as dates, times, data collected.
If Lansdown thinks Bielsa has damaged the reputation of football by his actions, his own comments do nothing to enhance its reputation in light of the above. Pot and kettle spring to mind.
Whatever sanction the EFL eventually impose, the club and/or Bielsa will accept, and MB has already stated as much.
As for Lansdown, he should quite simply wind his stupid neck in and disappear to his tax haven to count his billions.

I think it speaks volumes about the organisation he represents that Harvey could reach and hold onto the position he has attained for so long given his testomonies in court around the time of 15 points deduction and his time spent working for Ken Bates. They just don't have a shred of credability.

Johnson also said Berardi broke Matty Taylor's nose when Taylor ran into him. Matty Taylor scored a header 3 days later and had no bandage or any kind of nose injury whatsoever. Horrible club

Their owner was named in the Panama Papers. Tax dodging crook who has no right to take about morals or reputation. No self awareness from these people.
