Jose Mourinho has just smashed a full wine carrier off the floor of his living room.

He was heard by neighbors heard screaming “if Ed had let me buy him to replace Martial, I’d have won the quadruple, respect, respect" while cupping his ear in front of his dog

Mourinho was one of the greatest managers. He's currently not in management so the past tense is correct and the present tense is incorrect. Currently he is a mediocre pundit.

Ah, okay. How do you gauge success in life?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you furrrking joking? Mourinho is one of the greatest managers of all time, of course he's a far more successful person than Solskjaer will ever be.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The word you are looking for is manager not person. Mourinho is a more successful manager.
As for life, given what we know about both I would wager solskjaer is the far more happy and content of the two and Mourinho is probably a bit of ato be around.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What I meant was that Mourinho has achieved far more in his life than Solsjkaer which is true: His career as a manager is superior to Solskjaer's as a player relatively.

Hey Eriksan,
I wasn't furrrking joking.
Yes, I agree Jose has been one of the most successful managers of all time. That does not literally equate to a more successful life/successful person. Nor should one presuppose that just because Ole hasn't yet won as much as Jose has, that he cannot do so in future.
To me, football is great and I love it; but, I don't rate winning football trophies particularly highly as a measure of success in life. There are far more valuable and important contributions to the world and humanity that I deem true measures of success. Hence why I asked how you gauge success in life.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Like what? I'm measuring how successful they've been in their careers and Mourinho's career >>> Solskjaer's, both as a player and a manager put together.

"...of course he's a far more successful person than Solskjaer will ever be."
Erik, this is what you said above. Do you have the ability to see the future? How can you so unequivocally state that Ole won't be as or more successful in football management until they have both retired?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Solskjaer would have to be EXTREMELY successful as a manager to even come close to Mourinho. It's not going to happen.

Jose is/was a more successful manager. But he was a utter failure as a player. So he isn't a more successful person. Only a more successful manager.

I am just completely lost. you can't compare the value of trophies Solskjaer won as part of a team (not even a key player in that team) to the trophies Mourinho has won as a manager where he's clearly been much more responsible for this team winning those trophies. When a manager wins a trophy, they've clearly can take much more credit for winning the trophy than an individual player in the squad can because their contribution is so much different and so much more important. Like you are literally comparing apples and oranges, they're two completely different things.
Like I said, Mourinho's standing in the game is one of the greatest managers of all time. Solskjaer's standing in the game is that he was a good player for Manchester United. Unless Solskjaer does become as good as Sir Alex Ferguson as a manager, he will not surpass Mourinho's standing in the game, he just won't. And that will always make Mourinho a more successful person than Solskjaer.
