Leicester interested in Charlie Austin

Leicester are apparently lining up a move for Charlie Austin (as well as Tielemans) as Southampton look to off load the striker. Leicester failed in a then club record bid of £12m back in 2015 but sources say Leicester are now re-igniting their interest in the striker. Thoughts?

Getting a crock? Not sure. If the finances are sensible then maybe. He'd deffo offer something different to Vards.

Could work if he's fit..May be good. But sadly does it really matter, our season has been over since the Newport debacle. We all know who is to blame for our predicament..
Mentioning Newport ,it appears our friend Jon Moss has been up to his old tricks again.

Not going to cost a lot and would provide a good focal point for all those crosses that nobody gets a head on. Could work very well with Vardy, especially with the likes of Maddison and Tielmans providing opportunities. I'd get him in.

Working with Vardy is not going to happen unless Claude is proselytised to having two up front, which doesn't seem likely.

It is possible that if he kept fit, he could be the preferred choice as the lone striker and keep Vards on the bench.

I think I must be missing all these great crosses. The problem with Austin, if one believes that it benefit us from high crosses, is that it would mean Puel playing Albrighton on a more consistent basis and Claude would hate that.

I wasn't really suggesting that crosses were the answer, although we might be tempted to try and put a few in if we had Austin up front.

It was more that he'd give us a target when we have to hump the balls forward as we've allowed the opposition's defence plenty of time to get themselves organised with our ponderous play designed to get the possession stats up, and lack of pressing.

I reckon he'd suit Claude's style of play better than Vards. Clearly we'd still need to start with Vardy when playing the top six sides who would come at us more allowing fast counterattacking.

Come on KTF1. Chilwell has at least 2-3 crosses in to an empty box a game when he’s burst forward and has absolutely zero options so just hoofs it aimlessly in to the area. Vardy admires the cross from midfield where he now plays.

I wouldn't want Vardy on the bench at the expense of Austin. It has to be the other way around.

Jamie Vardy is our best hope to turn this club into a force again . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . or at least to start playing to win games like we know we can do.
