Herrera quotes

“We are playing with no limits, yes, it’s exactly what Ole brought to the team since the first day. We enjoy scoring goals and we enjoy defending together."

“I can make runs to be in the box, Paul can make runs to drive the ball forward, Ashley and Luke Shaw are allowed to win the ball in the box and make a run even to the opponents’ box."

“Now I am allowed to go into the box soon after I defend. Even Nemanja Matic is allowed to shoot. Our feeling is that, if we perform at our best, we can beat anyone."

"Even Matic is allowed to shoot" 🤣 What was Jose the tyrant saying to our players? Poison!!

“We have more important things happening now than my contract. My priority is to beat Burnley, Leicester… if I deserve a new contract, the contract will come. I’m not a selfish guy, I want the team to keep winning games, I don’t go crazy about my contract."

Give him the armband please, my man of the match against Arsenal as well.

“Even in the toughest atmospheres, every Manchester United player should ask for the ball and should be able to cope with those difficult moments."

Like I said give him the arm band!

Did anyone see the Lingard on Soccer Am thing on YouTube? Missed the penalty to win the Wimbledon fans £500 but gave them £600 out of his own pocket to say sorry

Seems like a really good guy

He might win an easier title like in France or Portugal but he isnt gonna be winning any of the big ones any time soon. He is no way near the manager he was at Porto, Inter or his first stint at Chelsea.

It was only 3/4 seasons ago he won a title in England. I agree he’s not the same guy but don’t forget he took us higher in the table last season than we have been at any time since SAF only to come up against a side who got 100 points.

Give him the Real job and the money to bring in the likes of Hazard and a top striker and I’m sure he wins a title in his time in Spain.

Indeed.

Out of the three teams Nobb listed only PSG are likely to go for him.

During Robbs crusade against LVG he told us exactly why Bayern will not touch Jose, and Perez will probably get lynched by Real fans if he hires Jose.

Bayern and Real look like they need a bit of rebuilding to do and Jose isn't that man.

Sounds like a man making excuses as he seemed to be against a DoF.

------------------------------------------

He was.

The idea was put to Mourinho and he didn't like it.

For him now to come out and bemoan the lack of structure at the club is just typical of the man.

His comment in that interview about Emery needing to show Ozil 'a little bit of care and a little bit of love' shows a staggering lack of self-awareness.

The man is pathetic.

Don't think he'd have won the title had City and Liverpool been where they are now. It was good timing and that side wasn't near the best champions over the last 20 years.

He can still win titles, I don't doubt that, but the writing was on the wall this season you could see it during pre season.

Yeah I agree, he’s a very short term manager in terms of squeezing every last drop out of his players in a very short time to the point where the players have enough, but he usually wins a title before then. To a degree Klopp is similar, his style of play seem to only last so long. Supposedly he has tried to adopt this season and not be so full on but it’ll be interesting to see how long his Liverpool side can continue to play at the same/similar intensity that they do.

As well as Jose’s style, he’s simply isn’t as good a manager as he once was.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He isn’t but as Darren said, he’ll likely win a title before United do again. And for anyone that really understands the world of football, it would be no surprise to see him managing PSG, Real of Bayern in the next year or two.

He’s a smart guy who seems to understand there is a tonal shift in how players need to be managed and what people seemed to not hear last week in his interview was that he said for his own protection so to speak there needs to be a hierarchy in place with a DOF etc which gives both player and manager room to do their stuff without problems occurring that can be avoided.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not smart enough to apply those insights up till now in the light of crumbling relationships with his players at Real, Chelsea and United. When he came to OT I gave him the benefit of the doubt that he might well respond to the culture of our club, relax in the relatively supportive environment, and learn from previous meltdowns. His failure to do any of that is scant reason to predict that NOW is his great moment of epiphany.

His quotes about Jose's tenure.

“We are playing with limits, yes, it’s exactly what Jose brought to the team since the first day. We struggle scoring goals and we do not as a unit."

“I can not make runs to be in the box, Paul can not make runs to drive the ball forward, Ashley and Luke Shaw are not allowed to win the ball in the box and make a run forward."

“I am not allowed to go into the box soon after I defend. Even Nemanja Matic banned from shooting. Our feeling is that, if we perform at our best, we can draw with anyone."

“Even in the toughest atmospheres, every Manchester United player should get behind the ball and should be able to launch a ball up to fellani."

WTF. Are these real?
