There seems to have been a fair bit of sneering and mocking over the celebrations after Morelos scored the third on Sunday. The reactions I've seen range from hilariously original chat like 'Whens the DVD oot?' to what actually seems to be genuine complaints that no Bears were arrested.
My thoughts are;
1. Contrary to how some view it - it wasn't actually a pitch invasion to celebrate beating Livingston. The game was won when Kent scored - so its not like Morelos goal was a late winner.
2. Alfredo gets a lot of criticism and scrutiny in the press and on social media etc. The Gers fans love him though and they had a chance in a wee ground with poor stewarding like Livvys to show him a bit of love. He was clearly desperate for a goal on sunday and I think the fans were just really pleased for him when he got it.
3. A lot of Rangers fans are bampots. This is not news and any club who thinks they have none amongst their numbers are kidding themselves on.
4. The loyalty and commitment shown by Rangers fans in recent years has been astonishing. Their love for the club needs to be a wee bit OTT for us to regularly get sell out crowds when we weren't even playing in the top tier. Sometimes that OTT love for the club spills over into OTT actions like it did on sunday. It was pretty harmless stuff though.
Personally I would rather they calmed down a bit but I think the reaction of those frothing at the mouth is a bit much.
