Mid Feb til Mid March run of Fixtures

So the following fixtures are due to played from the 12th Feb til 16th March

PSG (H) - 12th Feb
Chelsea (A) - date TBD 16th-18th
Liverpool (H) - 24th Feb
Palace (A) - 27th Feb
Southampton (H) - 2nd March
PSG (A) - 6th March
Arsenal (A) - 9th March

What a run in. I mean this is what football is for right? Looking forward to all these games a lot more than I would have previously under a certain tyrant.

Yeah I'd be surprised if he didn't rotate the midfield a bit tonight.

Hopefully Smalling will make an appearance soon now that he's back in training.

Whatever people think of him, he's still our best defender.

Really, our best defender, in my opinion our best defenders at the club are Bailly and Lindelof, Smalling, Jones and Rojo and just either not good enough, too inconsistent and a tackle or two away from the treatment table, wouldn't be too worried if all 3 left in summer.

Would actually rest Pogba tonight. Has a history of picking up muscular injuries this around this time of year and IMO he is the one player we absolutely cant do without for those games.

Herrera too. Bloke runs himself into the ground most games and is someone we don't really have a direct replacement for.

Smalling has proven he's currently our best CB. Maybe Lindelof and Bailly have the potential to be better and they are both better on the ball which is nice but right now as defenders Smalling is our best CB.

Completely disagree but whatever floats your boat, I still find it hard to believe that a professional footballer (never mind a Utd player) has to dance around the ball 180 degrees to pass it in opposite direction

I agree his passing and technique are very poor, but in terms of basic defending he is our best IMO. Of course our next manager whoever it may be may require defenders who are technically sound and can bring the ball out and if so then that will likely mean the end for Smalling, but right now Smalling when fit should be starting for me. Currently a duo of Lindelof and Bailly is way too risky and leaves me with little confidence.

Someone ask Matth to unfilter me I want to express my joy at the Fellaini news and I've never even been unkind to him so it must be a mistake on his part to filter me

In terms of just being able to defend, yes he's still the best CB we have.

Fred and Pereira should be used more RoM, they're talented players in my opinion. Fred hasn't been given a run in the side, I'd be starting him tonight as well.

Get that, buit they are very different players (from the little I've seen of them) than those they would replace.

I don't think that either could operate doing what Matic does for instance.

What does Matic do though?
