Solksjaer got it wrong tonight

Changed it too much tonight in my opinion. Too many fringe players came into the side and we struggled to get going. We perform so much poorer with Luaku as the focal point, I’ve been a huge critic of rashford in the past but we look so much better with his pace and movement in the middle

Poor result, but I think Ole didn’t show enough respect to a Burnley side that are in great form and always perform at OT.

He has done a lot right so far but today he got it massively wrong. Will be interested to see what he says post match!

Kung Fu, bit left field, but what are your views on Lauren Southern?

Lmao Robb this will reach 1000 comments if I start talking about her. If I can find it, I’ll comment on the old thread that freedom FC made that went dead.

Currentlyinchina to be fair I haven’t really stuck up for him this game. I’ve even said he was schit which Robb pulled me back on.

I’m not sure how you can’t see it. The only criticism I’d have of Jones in this passage of play is not pushing up beyond the cb to make the pass easier for Periera, but it’s quite clearly on. But even if you don’t see it at least you’ve acknowledged that De Gea was an option, so either way he’s at fault, how can’t he be he’s the one that lost the bloody ball.

Ok I admit when I said it wasn’t his fault I chose my words incorrectly. I should have said ‘not entirely his fault’ I still apportion a bulk of the blame on Jones.

Regardless I will still stand firm on my assessment of his performance as a whole, just not good enough. I hope it’s not the last we see of him, fans are absolutely slating him on the internet.

It’s because you aren’t used to seeing us play the ball out from the back, especially to players under pressure. Blame Mourinho for this.

Yeah it was a bad game from him. I’m not convinced by him but I hope to see more. He does have talent, and we do need to get the squad players up to speed for the rest of the season.

The more concerning thing is that Fred still isn’t getting a look in. I remember someone raising the point before the season started that from what they’d seen and read that his ball carrying and license to get forward, with support and movement around him, would suffer under Mourinho and that he’d probably struggle to play his game. This came to pass, but now we are playing a style that would suit him better we still aren’t seeing him on the pitch.

Just commented on that thread, it should be at the top on your comments section. We can debate this in a civilised way 👍🏼

I defo think we’ll see him in Feb, we have to much headed our way and Matic still hasn’t had a rest. It should be a home game though.

I wonder if you guys watch games too because there were three occasions in the second half where Lukaku was stood in the box unmarked and ready for a ball but on two occasions Mata blasted the ball from the right side of the area into the defenders shins and then Young did the same thing minutes later

It’s amazing how much time people spout half truths like Lukaku not providing good movement (sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn’t) but when he does get into great positions people never mention it. They just attack the non fan fave and ignore the real culprits today like Rashford, Periera and Mata

Standing is the only thing lukaku does.

We need to use the squad, absolutely.

Ole hasn't done that very much. And I think we've paid the price for that this week.

I said before Friday's game, repeatedly, that we needed to be resting a few key players for Arsenal to have a full strength team available, and our most important players in Ole's setup - Herrera, Lingard and Rashford - fresh and firing, for Burnley.

Ole switched it up a little for the FA Cup fixture, but he didn't rest the right players IMO.

I don't know how many times I said last week that Burnley was going to be a tough fixture, and I was shot down every time.

Burnley always raise their game against us and their keepers have a blinder.
