Is Allan McGregor our best ever? Watched the highlights of that Werder Bremen game, if he's not our best is that the best performance from a Rangers keeper in a match?
We've been blessed with some fantastic ones over the years and just a few not so good, Goram was the first i remember and probably the number 1 contender for the sheer pain he put tims through
Stefan Klos was magic, i was surprised such a small guy made such a good keeper. Should definitely have got capped for Germany he was that good.
I remember a Ronald Wattereus performance against them as well that was pretty special, our first win at Parkhead in 11 attempts and it was mainly down to him stopping Hartson and Bellamy. A bit of a headcase though, he faked an injury to get subbed off to find out if the fans would boo him and refused to sign a new deal because his name was spelt wrong
Lionel Charbonnier flying through the air v Bayern Munich as the free kick took a deflection past him is an image i still can't get out of my head. Devastated not to win that game at the time as a kid.
Andy Dibble making his debut for an injured Andy Goram against Celtic and keeping a clean sheet was pretty impressive.
Neil Alexander, an excellent servant and stand in keeper. Didn't ever think he was great but solid enough as back up. Wes Foderingham falls into the same category.
Antti Niemi went on to become a fantastic keeper but i don't think he had much of an impact with us.
There are other i remember but less so their time in the team, Thomas Mhyre, Ally Maxwell, Theo Snelders, Jesper Chirstiansen and a few i've probably chosen to forget.
Then the horrors. Lionel Letizi, Roy Carroll, Cammy Bell.
Who do you think is the best and who the worst?

I well remember big red faced Andy Dibble's game at parkhead. He played well.
It's not even a discussion for me. Mcgregor is a decent keeper but not in Goram's league. A genuinely world class keeper. He's as good as anyone I've seen in the flesh and I've seen a lot of top keepers.
He's up there with Shilton, Jennings and a few others in my book.
Goram was consistently good against us but I still have to say that the best individual performance I've seen live was Fraser Forster in Barcelona. Unbelievable.
Next was Casillas at anfield for RM. I was fortunate to be at that game and although he shipped a few goals he was brilliant. Liverpool would have scored ten that night if it hadn't been for the goalie.
Other than that, goram is the best I've seen.

no. But I've slept with one. Surely that counts for something?

Gordon for Celtic to be fair for the past few years has saved Celtic so much and cost us Old Firm game wins. I know Celtic fans have issues with him, but in Old Firm games, his shot stopping has been brilliant for Celtic.
For us best keeper has to be Goram, followed by Klos. Charbonnier was unlucky he was at the club at the same time Klos arrived.

Klos over McGregor.
Not for me, maybe a tad more reliable but not as capable of the outstanding.
Gordon is mince, but i agree he's had good games v us. The best tim keeper was Boruc and he always had a howler in him.

gordons a great shot stopper, probably one of the best i have ever seen.
its unfortuante we ask him to do something he is schite at tbh. I don't see us asking edourd to come back and defend.

There was a used car dealer in Wishaw years ago...any time someone called him up enquiring about one of his better briefs he used to say it was 'a nailer of a motor...used to belang tae Latchford the goalkeeper'

You wouldn't really say Goram was a good goalkeeper.
He is living of that one save from van hoijdonk. There was a reason smith binned him.

Ffs...if I'd said that I'd have been accused of never having been a professional goalkeeper.
