Despite getting out of gaol yet again

in a Prem match with another late goal, following up the last minute winner against Fulham. It aint going to keep happening. You have to question why for about the 5th game in a row, the team are playing slow turgid stuff in the first half of games, and only when they go behind do we get a reaction. Have to question why the manager is sitting on his hands for 45 minutes, whilst the team is just huffing and puffing around. Also why was Moura not starting, does Poch really know who to start these days? He seems to just be cobbling teams together and hoping for the best.

Decent second half, deserved the win in the end, but that was more down to how poor Watford were, to how really creative Spurs were, crossing from both sides and from set pieces was poor again tonight. In the context of how the results went this evening it was a decent three points, but they aint going to keep getting late winners, sooner or later it will end up as a disastrous defeat.

Llorente, an assist and a goal.

Spurs were though the only top four team to win this week, although Arsenal have jumped into the top four now at the expense of Chelsea, worth a laugh at Chelsea. Oh and one for Liverpool as well.

Cannot say I am jumping through hoops tonight, still very annoyed about the FA Cup defeat at the weekend, but I will take the three points, but it will probably be the same sort of display again against Newcastle at the weekend.

I was not quite right with the crowd, I said I doubted there would be 20,000 plus earlier in the week, in the end it crept up to 29,164, fans voting with their feet. But at least Spurs post the correct crowd in the Stadium, Arsenal posted a crowd of 59,000 plus last night, when the ground was half empty.

Absolutely huge win. Fantastic character. Gutted about the cup result, but this certainly repairs a lot of the damage.

Beat Newcastle on Saturday and then we have 7 days to our next game.

We've had a few good Prem performances this season (Chelsea, Bournemouth at home and Everton away) but overall tonights kind of win has been the norm. It might not be pretty but we keep getting 3 points and we have a resilience that should be admired.

Far, far too many changes every game from the manager, to get any cohesion. No excuses for the manager to keep changing the team now, no domestic cup football. I mean is it any wonder our goalies make mistakes, when the manager rotates them for cup and Prem games. Absolutely no reason why our goalies should be rotated, you cannot get tired playing in goal.

Lloris should have played in both the cup games, then perhaps he wouldn`t have come back tonight and made a mistake.

I hate Spurs playing at Wembley, it is a massive disadvantage to Spurs, small crowds, no atmosphere. So many negative things about the place.

Kiss of death then. You should know that Spurs never really win when it matters, they have a chance to go above City with the early kick off, but we know they will feck it up.

Sandy

Goalkeepers require full concentration at all times, I would suggest keepers probably have as many touches as any other player on the pitch.👍

Agree Genius, but I can never understand why the modern game requires we have a cup goalie and a prem goalie, it's a nonsense. We should have a regular goalie for all competitions, other than for injuries.

Whatever way you look at it Sandy its another mistake by Hugo, if he stays on his line the ball drops into his hands. I think in the Prem (not Europe) Lloris has been better this season but I would be quite happy if Gaz got a proper run in the team. Apart from being a very decent keeper Gaz gives us another string to our bow with his excellent kicking.

Funny how often Spurs screw up on corners.
Does anyone have a count of the number of goals we have given away from corner kicks this season....or last season?
Anyways, mixup between Sanchez and Lloris i think.
Happily Llorente is beginning to show up .... he's a slick footballer, some tricky moves, and I applaud his ability to come back from the awful knee over the bar and score late on with a signature header.
If only he could run fast!!

Another comment ... I'm not impressed with Levy's signings... Aurier to replace Walker and Sanchez to take over from Toby.
Both are simply not up to standard.
Needs to think again in the summer ... our chairman.
