Seems that the same has happened with Leroy Fer from Swansea to Villa. Pulled the plug late on. Somebody at Swansea is refusing to let all this happen. #lufc

They will get a couple of very happy players back now, just wasted a day traveling

Villa have just signed Tom Carroll from Swansea instead of Fer.
Very strange series of events going on in Wales.

"I am very disappointed like all of
@LUFC
fans, we did all we could and accepted all requests...but you always need two parties to agree to make a deal and we always had one single target player, none else. We move on and keep fighting in our next 17 finals #MOT 💛💙 Together"

am told that the deal was agreed directly between Radrizzani and Swansea owner Jason Levien. Levien was ready to sign it off but someone else at Swansea refused. Politics. #lufc

From Phil Hay:
“the version I've been given is that Leeds originally planned to pay a £1.5m loan fee for James in June. Swansea then asked for £750,000 up front with the rest to come at the end of the season. Leeds were willing to agree to that.”
