Many fans clamouring for goalkeeper and we get one in with some sort of pedigree, we have to see how that one pans out.
Didn't get the other signing we were going for and so as Bielsa would say, you have to say on that count we failed.
You could say we lost Saiz this window but not through choice.
We retained our more important players like Roofe, Pablo, Jansson, Clarke, Philips (I'm sure there would have been some interest in all of them).
We won't ever know if James would have made the difference, but I don't have gut feeling this is a disaster in terms of losing out on that payer but I do hope its not a key factor in Bielsa questioning the effectiveness of the support he was expecting in retaining and acquiring players, after all we have lost Vieira, Saiz and not acquired James.
Ultimately I feel that this is about lack of funds and I don't see how that changes in the summer, so lets really hope we can make the most of the end of season run in, I still think we're going up as Champions.

Were going in circles if we offered 5 mill up front which we don’t have we’d have had to sell just as we sold Vieira out of the blue.

Given the timing of it all, appears unlikely the club could have sold anyone in time to fund the transfer.
Of course, there could have been a signed term sheet allowing an additional two hours.

Of course we didn't offer £5million up front, no one does that. It will have been in instalments like most transfers.
