Poch on the window

"I am so happy to try to help the project of the club," Pochettino told a news conference before the visit of Newcastle. "But, of course, my ideas are not always the same as the club's ideas, or the chairman's ideas.
"I wanted to strengthen the squad but, if we cannot sign anyone, I need to stick with the pressure of the club.
"I am disappointed because we are in a very good position and maybe, with a little more help, we could not have an excuse not to be a real contender. But we are in a very good position and we will fight until the end to be as high as we can."

Read it again. I AM DISAPPOINTED. Pochs own words “I am disappointed. I wanted to strengthen. My ideas aren’t always the same as the chairman’s."

So pretty much exactly how and why I have been complaining about the way the club operates, whilst people still tried to delude themselves into thinking it’s Pochettino turning down all these players. This is pretty much proof in the pudding that the club couldn’t deliver. Don’t get me wrong, he doesn’t sound like he wants to pack up and leave, but yet can’t help but feel that he wanted reinforcements this window to help the side and the club hasn’t delivered. Let’s hope we have enough to grab 3rd and have a go at Dortmund in the CL. In Poch we Trust!!!! In Levy I don’t!!!

How can we have a more ballenced team by selling Eriksenhistory has shown us selling our best players does not improve us

Question is whether Eriksen wants to stay.
He's running out of contract and refuses to discuss a new deal.
Not the club's fault here ... Eriksen has sights on bigger things...and who can blame him?
With all the buggering around Levy has given the squad ... its little wonder he wants off.
Good Luck, I say!

The Liverpool model isn't just about investment, it's about clever business. Yes they've spent a lot but they sold Coutinho and brought in VVD and Allison. Those two, who have transformed the balance of that side, effectively cost nothing. Their only real outlay was for Keita and Fabinho. Ox was free, Shaqiri only about 10m. They've just done better business. This all points to the same thing. We probably need to sell Eriksen in the summer in order to redistribute the funds to build a more balanced team.

Chronic, Poch “ understands “ purely because he’s got no choice. It’s clear as day he is frustrated with it. The “donut “ , IE me, has been spot on about this for ages. You were trying to blame Poch for not signing playershe is clearly saying here he wanted signings, you can’t really spin this anymore chronic

Not a lot of point in Poch strengthening, if he leaves eight of his better players our of a cup tie. I wouldn`t be giving him money, if he did play his strongest side when required.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Will you ever grasp the fact that teams dont play the same 11 for a whole season?!?!?

Potch is the best coach I can see Spurs getting and you are close to the summit.

Why not back your coach when he is making millions of pounds of profit, for ENIC to slide straight in their pockets? Madness.

I have said all season itd come to a head when Levys 'bargain hunter' ego stops Spurs signing reinforcements.

Spurs have a good squad but anyone who says you cannot sign reinforcements better than Llorente, Sissoko, Davies, Trippier etc is crazy.

Even the kids wouldnt need to play at 18/19 if you had suitable back up. They have promise but tey clearly arent ready for the PL.

PL is the priority and Potch has shown that, as have most managers other than Pep,who is still in all comps.

Enic and Levys penny pinching has served Spurs well but Spurs dont have to shop at Aldi anymore, especially when you have the funds to go to waitrose.

Why wont the club spend the money the fans invest?

And dont say the stadium, or Spurs are no different fro Arsenal, and I find it impossible to believe Spurs would copy their mistakes....

Basically they get the impression Levy knows that spurs will always sell tickets and make millions regardless of how he treats the fans with ticket prices or signings.

Go listen you lazy caaaaaaant!

It should have been made obvious that Poch wanted investment in the squad after he made his statement in the summer about wanting Levy to be brave, and he's absolutely right in that last paragraph. We are so close to real success but not willing to push it that little bit harder to cross the line. And we definitely could if we wanted.

I would say that the club never takes enough risks, but to spend quite a bit on a quality player isn't even taking a risk. There is more risk in not doing anything.
