Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye remains a doubt because of the groin problem that caused him to miss Tuesday's win at Huddersfield.

Leighton Baines suffered a rib injury during that game and will be assessed, while Lucas Digne is suspended and Yerry Mina is unlikely to be fit.

Defender Willy Boly is available for Wolves after serving a three-match suspension.

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has no fresh injury concerns.

@SteveBowercomm: Wolves will be confident of further dampening the mood around Goodison Park as they head to Merseyside on the back of six wins in the last 10 games, and two points ahead of their opponents.

Minutes after the FA Cup exit at Millwall, one of my Evertonian friends sent me a message: 'That's our season over in January'. Marco Silva has to try and rid that feeling around the club. Although they didn't play well in midweek, the win and clean sheet at Huddersfield was a start.

This match will be a different test though. They will be more than aware of how Wolves have ruffled the feathers of bigger names than Everton already this season. The Black Country side are on course for the highest-placed finish by a newly-promoted team for 18 years.

Everton manager Marco Silva on Idrissa Gueye's reaction to PSG's failed bids: "He is a good professional and a fantastic boy. He really likes our club, he is enjoying playing in our club.

"When a club like PSG comes in it is normal he starts to think about his future but now he has stopped, the market is closed and I don't have doubts we will see the best Idrissa Gana again.

"You can use the word disappointed, and of course it was a good opportunity for him, but it is a fantastic opportunity for him to stay with us also."

Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo on now having only 16 outfield players with league experience in the squad: "I'm not concerned. We started [the season] with 18 players, plus goalkeepers, now we have 16 plus goalkeepers and the under-23s.

"This is the way we should go with a small squad and back-ups, giving every player the chance to have minutes because we believe this is the best way to improve and become better."
