So we head into Monday’s game without Gomez who may need surgery which is terrible news. Lovren has now had a recurrence of his hamstring problem. Trent was due back this week but Klopp thinks it will be another couple of weeks.
Arnautovic is injured apparently which is good news but it still leaves us with only Matip & VVD which should be enough for West Ham. My worry is VVD is out against Bayern so that leaves Matip and Fabhino as the only players capable of playing centre back. We need Fabhino in midfield as much as possible so it’s frustrating.
Matip, Lovren and Gomez are always injured. We need to address this in the summer. I’d stick with Gomez as he is young and may get over those injuries and on his day he is a fantastic defender. One of Lovren or Matip needs replacing with a player who is consistently fit.

Matip and Lovren cannot get a run of games as they keep picking up knocks. Nothing long term but muscular injuries throughout the season.
Gomez is more long term. Keeps getting injured for long periods and is becoming the next Lallana and Sturridge.
We can’t afford anymore injuries that’s for sure.

Bit unfair
Gomez has been injured by bad impacts, matip and lovren just seem to pull a muscle or w/e every few weeks, they seem more injury prone

Just part of football. City have mendy and kdb and kompany injured for a lot of matches; spurs now have ali..kane etc
Its why we probably drew vs leicester and city lost a few matches. I dont prescribe to moaning about it as its pointless....happens every season to some extent as its just football fella

pretty much writing Gomez off now hes an injury crock already, no point getting ya hopes up on him. His injury record already is terrible hes never gna be fit long enough. Matip too, Lovrens not good enough, we seriously need some reliable quality CBs in.
