Post Christmas crash

As per usual we're seeing a post season crash.

What is the common factor year after year?

No quality signings that can hit the ground running, you can go all the way back to that season where we'd just come back up to Championship, beat QPR and failed to build in Jan.

Last Jan we spent some money but Roberts was injured, Forshaw was injured as well and they had no impact on the rest of our season.

We can say no good business to be done in Jan, any signing takes time to gel etc etc but the reality is, this season, we've not made most of window at all, really hope we don't see the same post Christmas crash continue.

Sorry to say it but agree. Lots on here saying things like bad day at the office, not our day today - move on to next game, Bielsa will sort it out etc.
We have been less than convincing for a month (Derby game excepted)

Comment of the season.

Said this for years, results will eventually mirror performances.

You can win playing poorly, but eventually it will catch up with you.

We’re not playing well at all

Any coincidence that since you’ve been caught cheating your results have dropped?

I’m sure the whole footballing world hopes dirty Leeds will have a points deduction at the very least. 🤜💦

I don't know about ground hog day, but it seems to be Ground hog January every bl@@dy season.

Feel we needed to capitalise in the window and didn't.

Seriously worried that auto now will be a real ask.

Way I see it we need 11 wins (33 points) from 16 games to guarantee promotion.
-------
We've won 17 out of 30 = 56%
11 wins out of 16 is 68%

we're not suddenly going to go from losing 5 matches in 7 to winning 11 out of 16.

Why not?

You have said results eventually mirror performances and I agree with you. Coaches look at chances created etc as barometers while fans look at results.

Where I disagree is about how badly we’re playing. I think we’ve been remarkably consistent for most of the season... infact I think we’ve been playing better in this bad run of results than we were during the 7 game winning run.

We were crap today, granted... in particular 2nd half, but it’s individual mistakes that are really killing us... we didn’t make them at the start of the season and we’re making them every game at the moment.

We were immense first half. Pablo came off and was replaced by Douglas instead of Phillips. Didn't understand that.

I didn't see a reason to change things at all, but we lost all our shape, all our midfield, and again didn't give Clarke enough of the ball.

But what we did see was a true striker. Took time to get involved but great build up touch and movement and vision, unreal snap shot that no one else in our team would have had strength or speed to get near, and good header for goal.

Keep your chins up - we're going up as champions!

Fully agree LST.

Another poor January transfer window wasted, and the signs were there that we weren't playing as well as earlier in the season. The only reason we stayed at the top was because the chasing pack couldn't capitalise on it. But now the chasers have strengthened in one way or another, and if we cannot get improvement out of these players, I hope I'm wrong, but I fear the worst if Bielsa cannot get that extra mile out of these players. Some look tired and slow. Will they ever learn how crucial the January transfer window is ?.
