Mahoosive win yesterday.
It did come at a cost though as our treatment room may need to be expanded at Lennoxtown.
Thought we played ok first half, created very little clear cut chances though. The big talking point was probably the penalty shout for Burke. At the time I thought it was a pen, having seen it back it was the correct decision.
2nd half we upped the pace and created 3 or 4 really good chances before the goals. Their keeper having another stormer against us, Kant does my nut in
Again, 2 penalty shouts and for me both were stonewall penalty kicks. The first on Christie is a joke, how the flook can he not see that’s a pen? Then the Kung fu kick onto Edouards foot is deemed dangerous play and endangering an opponent. Nothing given again, that’s 3 stonewall penalties denied in the last 2 games, meanwhile they were handed out like the loving cup in Govan on Saturday.
After all that shambles, we took the lead and Scott Brown’s pass was a delight but Weah’s touch and final ball was sublime and credit to Forrest who’s desire gets him the goal, an absolutely crucial goal.
After that we end up down to 10 men for 11 minutes as Forrest went off, hopefully nothing too serious and he’ll be fine for next week.
2nd goal for me was all about Rodgers, just before the corner is taken, Weah goes to come back and Rodgers screams at him to stay up and sticks McGregor front post. Safe to say it paid dividends, brilliant from Sinclair to free Weah and then he slipped in McGregor who returned the favour and it was a clinical finish.
Let’s remember that boy is just 18 years of age, he’s absolutely frightening for his age and he’s now scored 3 and assisted 1 in 5 games, obviously he’s only started one game too which makes his stats even more impressive.
Injury wise though, I don’t think I’ve seen anything quite like it, this is our injury list.
Rogic
KT
Edouard
Ntcham
Boyata
Benkovic
Lustig
Forrest
Griffiths
Kouassi
Wtf man
One final point on Scott Bain, only really had 1 save to make which he did well but his distribution is second to none, he could play in midfield. He’s now just 298 minutes short of the record for shut outs
Anyway, sets us up nicely for the game on Wednesday now, we win these next 2 games this week and we are sitting very pretty towards another treble.
