City quadruple.

I don't hate Liverpool. In fact I respect their achievements as a football club, my grandmother was an evacuee from there during WW2 and I've had a lot of good nights out there.

However, as a United fan they are our rivals. They are the team who I remember as a child winning everything, they are the team who are vying with us for the title of the most successful team etc. Going by that criteria then, of course, I'd want anyone but them winning.

Also, even though I'm friends with quite a few Liverpool fans, I have to say they are the most annoying set of fans I know (I know that's a generalisation as some are sound) especially as a collective. They'll whine when their team don't win and say they're the worse but, when they win, they'll claim they're the best ever. I know all fans do that but it particularly sticks in the craw with them. I do think a lot is to do with their dominance during my childhood but I always remind them I've been able to toast 11 titles with a legal pint; something they've been unable to do.

If this was reversed I'd be disappointed if they didn't feel the same about United too. Healthy respect is there but so is the dislike/rivalry!

This. grew up when Liverpool were the dominant force and their fans were unbearable. They still remain deluded!!

Liverpool fans have an unbelievable sense of entitlement because they were successful in the 70's and 80's.

League tables don't reflect history at the end of the season.

United fans have had to get used to City winning the league. Many grown men who support them weren’t even born the last time Liverpool won it, and clinging on to that is one of the only saving graces of a largely barren spell at the club. But deep down we all know what they love most, is kicking a blue 😂
