Roofe isn't underperforming though, so why drop him? Until Bamford is fit - and he is some way off match-starting fitness - Roofe is our best striker.
It is the creation of decent goal-scoring chances we are lacking. We create a lot of "promising situations", but not enough in the way of actual "shooting and scoring" chances. We need more balls across the box from the wide men, more direction and purpose in and around the penalty area.
Changing the striker will not result in more or better goalscoring opportunities, will probably result in us scoring fewer of the ones we do create.

Given that Bielsa has taken to naming his starting XI 48 hours before kick-off, without prompting from the media, there is surely a good chance Bamford hasn’t been instructed to join the manager unless he has a big role to play at the Riverside?
