Should we rest players vs Fulham

It’s a bit of dilemma.

A win would be another big 3 points in the race for 4th but we have looked a little bit tired recently.

Fulham are having a poor season and I actually think they are one of the leagues biggest underachievers considering they were the summers 2nd biggest spenders. They have some dangerous players on their day and could cause us problems.

I’d go something like this:

De Gea
Dalot Smalling Bailly Shaw
Fred Herrera
Lingard Pogba Martial
Lukaku

I’d love if we could rest Pogba but he’s too important and no one else in our squad can replace him. Would be great to be in a position to take him off earlyish in the game.

Rashford and Pogba both ideally need a rest in this game.

We 'should' have enough cover to beat them still.

I think we need Lingard, Herrera and Matic fresh and raring to go for PSG as well.

That may be a lot of changes, but we are at home against PSG and need to be at our fittest if we are to take something into the second leg to hold onto.

Rotating the squad when needed - while keeping Lukaku at arm's length to not do enough damage.

Looks to me the player in the U23s most ready to take the step up right now.

Dynamite midfielder at that level despite only recently progressing from the Academy. Maybe it's still a little too early for him, but he plays with such confidence and determination that I'd expect him to perform as well as he can if given the opportunity.

He doesn't have the flair, touch and vision of Gomes, for example, but if we're short at DM and need specialist cover for Matic, he'd be the one for me.

Cheers rosso. I will look forwards to seeing him make his debut.

I think how Ole introduces some of the youngsters throughout the rest of the season will tell us a lot about whether he’s in a prime position to take the job permanently. I’m starting to get the feeling he’ll be here next season.
