Yeah I think ozil is pretty much done with. The test for certain will be to see how quick Mhiki gets back in the first team. Suarez will almost definitely play ahead of Özil

Would be interesting to find out exactly why Özil was chucked out the team. Happened quite quickly, so must have been some kind of bust up with Emery at some stage. Seems quite likely ozil didn’t agree with what emery wanted him to do, and is not sort of player he likes. But maybe also some pressure from above to encourage ozil out.

If it’s simply he can’t be bothered with emery’s style of play, then he should leave in the summer. Need to have all players singing from same hymn sheet at the moment. With the seemingly limited budget, we could, if we remove Özil’s wages, potentially get 2 players in on decent wages who will do what emery wants

Actually Emery wanted to sign Ozil when he was at PSG according to Ornstein...

He may have had a radical change of opinion but i do get the impression the instructions not to play him are coming from our new football director team (Raul Sanllehi and co) in order to force him out of the club, have been thinking this for a while now.
