United and City to battle for Ndombele

We have reportedly made contact with Lyon over him. City and Juventus are also rumoured to be interested in him. City had made a bid last summer, but Lyon had just made his loan a permanent one then. They're still very interested in as he seems like an ideal player to replace a certain Brazilian CM they have.

Seems like the kind of signing we need to improve our midfield. He can play CM or deeper, so may take the place of Matic or rotate with Herrera.

fred also seemed like a signing we needed and look how that's worked out, our track record post fergie in the transfer market has been horrendous so my expectations are a lot lower when new signings arrive

Agree. My expectations of signings now are a lot more tempered after our additions over the past 6-7 seasons.

Think we should be looking at Declan Rice. Looks a player, young, British and we need a capable DM / box to box player.

Matic is Matic and who knows what’s happening with Herreras contract, and McTominay has hardly convinced. How we spent £50m on Fred is absolutely beyond me.

Our CM options are really poor compared with the other top 6 sides.

From everything thing I read about Fred before signing him has been exactly as we seen. I'm not sure how he fits in as he isn't like the others we have. He likes to play higher up the field than we want him to, so he has to adjust his game if he were to make it here.

its going to very difficult even with us playing better to maintain this form with the lack of good options we have there, think we need at least 2 cm in the summer

Rice looks quality

Prefer Rice too. Prem proven, British, and all that. Like I said before, this screams “SAF” signing

Fred is probably the signing that broke the camel's back with Jose.

£53m ffs and is the last choice midfielder in the squad.
