Positive management

Away with work and have been stuck in a hotel for most of the day so actually got to watch you guys play for the first time since Ole took over. The difference is night and day. Your player look like they are enjoying what they do and a lot of it is put down to the positivity of your new interim manager.

We hear a lot about how this approach to management is the way forward and it got me thinking, how successful is it?
3 examples I can think of are Klopp, Poch and Pep.

The first 2 although have been successful but are yet to deliver silverware. Pep is a bit of an anomaly. He inherited one of the greatest teams ever at Barca and has taken over a club with a blank chequebook and the back room staff to make failure impossible.

If Ole were to get the job and Utd continue to play better football but fails to win any trophies does it validate Jose’s management style? Boring but lucrative.

It's always nice when a Liverpool fan posts an article about United when their own team is playing a game where a win would take them to the top of the table

If they were to broadcast the 3pm games at the hotel I’m in I’d be watching it. Listening in on the radio

Is it that difficult to try and have a serious debate without someone nitpicking?

Agree. It was a genuine article. No need for that.

To the OP, Im sure we feel the same as Liverpool fans did when Klopp took over. If we aren't winning titles we at least want good football.

For myself there has to be entertainment. I don't go now, but if I spent the thick end of £50 for the pleasure of watching my team, that's what I want pleasure and entertainment.
Naturally I would hope for a share of trophies, but I wouldn't want to sit through twenty odd afternoons of dire football just to get a cup.
So, trophies yes, but not at any price.

The last time we topped the shots on target table I believe was in 07-08 season when we won the PL but also the CL. Carragher is right in saying we got a better squad than Liverpool.

Course we do Hafi. That's why we are fourth, if we had a worse squad we would be say eighth. Wouldn't we ?

Luck can play a huge part in football. Chelsea winning the CL shows that.

Of course it plays a part, but nowhere near as much a part as having good players, a good managers, and the right tactics.
Especially in the league rather than a cup.
