A very very poor performance once again. Scored the crucial goals but pretty much outplayed for the majority by the worst team in the league.
Earlier in the season we were all about the second half performances but now it's the complete opposite. Again pathetic in the second half with the Mf being pressed and dominated.
Honestly think if that was any other team in the league other than Huddersfield, we would have lost that game.
Also, how the fack did we end up with that team today. Ozil, Ramsey, Xhaka, Auba all out.
Considering Mkhi has missed 6-7 weeks he was the only player with an ounce of quality on the pitch.
Not sold on Emery just yet. The style of football is awkward to watch at times with everything coming from the flanks. We are also being continually dominated by bang average teams in practically every game which is concerning.
When are we going to see Auba/Laca, Ramsey, Ozil all on the same team?Yes that latter two are both off in the summer but in order for us to get any chance of top 4, these 3 have to be playing consistently together.
Emery is playing with fire here by not playing his best eleven.
Lucky that was Huddersfield we were playing

The football is absolutely disgusting right now. Things got bad under Wenger, but the football was never this bad. We’ve had the 11th most shots in the league this season. That says everything you need to know about the style of football Emery provides. Gazidis really was terrible at his job.

The game today was typical of an understrengthed team getting an early goal and cruising to victory, with an important game on the horizon. The result was never in doubt.

Two quality strikers is the reason for that. The football is a disgrace. Cutbacks are the only way that this team can create chances. 11th most shots indicates that they are converting chances at an unsustainable rate. If it dips, which I fear it will, we will lose a lot of games, and on the quality of play, it would be deserved.

Huddersfield had more shots and possession, better pass accuracy and created more chances and should have had a penalty. To reiterate, they are 20th with an almost record low 11 points and haven't scored for 10 ours. We were scrambling off the line in the second half

I wasn't happy with the way we set up, the performance and the fact we ceded territorial possession for most of the game. Kolasinac's own goal really irritated me too because, like against Cardiff, a clean sheet would have really boosted the confidence of our already porous defence.
But today we just needed to get 3 points. Our away form since beating Bournemouth has been dismal and even though Huddersfield are bottom of the league, they have a new manager with players keen to impress him.
So, although I understand and agree with a lot of the frustration, let's not act like we lost the game. We did win after all.
Fact of the matter is we have the worst squad from all the top 6 by quite a distance, yet we are 1 point behind United and level on points with Chelsea (who still have a game in hand, but realistically, most expect City to beat them).
To even be in contention for 4th with a squad starved of quality and balance is the one positive we can take.

There is an argument to say all of wengers teams attacking play was situated around the middle where the emphases was on creative midfielders to play the intricate passes. The Wilshere goal v Norwich sums this up perfectly. We hardly ever scored cut back under Wenger.
However, under Emery it seems the complete opposite. All of the attacking play is coming from the flanks with players like Kolasinac and Bellerin. It seems that he has abandoned the creativity in Mf with more defensive minded midfielders and then focused on putting the attacking quality through the flanks.
We just need him to blend the two style together now

Give the guy a chance, he’s inherited by large a poor squad that Wenger left behind and your getting on his back before the seasons even ended. If you thought We would be title challengers with this group then I’m afraid you’re seriously deluded.
Do you actually believe we’re worse than last season? Even though we’ve won more away games/achieved more away points already this season, then the entirety of last season? And also been on a 22 unbeaten run.

You were the worst of the " top 6" teams we've played. If we had bought properly in the summer we wouldn't be in the situation we are currently in.
I don't take offence to us being the " worst team" in the league, because we are. We've had rotten luck this season, mixed with injuries to key players, and really bad investment, but you are right, any other team in the money league, or even the top 4 in the championship would have beaten you today.
A few of your players really p¡ss me off, but that's just me. The mini side show Bob fella that gives it out, yet falls on the floor at every occasion does my head in! Tape cassette is a dirty sh¡te hawk too, but you get looked after by these so called refs.
