Just over 7weeks ago, probably the lowest the club has been since Fergie left, top 4 gone, everyone expecting the season just to trudge along with horrible football
Think 11 games is more than just a flash in the pan new manager bounce, Ole has transformed everything and we’re actually looking forward to the psg game instead of dreading it
If we don’t get at least top 4 now it will seem like a bit of a letdown and who knows maybe even catch spurs?
If ole does stays I think because he’s shown what some of the lads are capable maybe it’s only a few players in instead of the expected squad overhaul that we thought a few months back? Another reason why he may get the job as the board will probably feel he won’t spend much?
Anyways onwards to psg

Neo
You need to understand what delusional means in the context of your comment to me considering I have not suggested we will catch Spurs.

Amazing Spurs are where they are as they seem to get outplayed most games but scrape a 1 goal win. Leicester City been all over them 1st half and Spurs have created next to nothing but 1 cross and they lead 1-0. Pochettino makes Mourinho look like the most attacking manager in the world this season. Grinding out undeserved wins is what they done all season and today he says that we were lucky to beat Leicester City. Leicester City already had more clear chances today against Spurs than they had against us.

BTW I did say when Mourinho got sacked we could get top 4 as we have lots of potential.

Really goes to show how poisonous mourinho has become. The tactics and management that worker wonders in the 00s done a complete 360. Nearly ruined two clubs, one in which he is a legend. Just out of touch. Good luck for rest of the season

I think Chelsea are strong defensively so could win the Europa League. Hopefully you let us have 4th.

Will be exciting atleast

When fanboys of the other top 6 start telling us "it's impossible" indeed they are nervous about what Ole has accomplished in such a short time. 4th place was supposedly impossible and we're now in 4th (for the time being). Spurs have made a career out of bottling, and then there are "those who slip". Where we'll end up is an exciting proposition, and now the leaders hear footsteps behind them, and don't like it. Ole's already made this a memorable and happy time.

Ole has come out and said this idea of going out and spending big on a superstar and thinking we will challenge for the title is ridiculous. Look at Sanchez. Di Maria. We have had some stinkers with the big money signings.
I will still give him the job if we miss out on top 4 and won't matter to me one bit. My only concern is we have to play Europa.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you agree with him then? That we don't need a squad overhaul, shouldn't be chasing big money/big name signings, and should be focussing on developing the players we have?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If a player comes available that cost big and will improve the squad, I will 100% rather we spend the money. Rooney was big money. Ferdinand big money. This however was not the Galactico approach, these are players that contributed massively to our future success.
I know why you are asking this, so I will answer you. Your idea of filling the team with academy players I do not agree with. I will reiterate, I do not think Ole is good enough to compete with youngsters against Guardiola and Klopp.... we are talking about two elite managers here, one may go down as the best coach to ever coach a football team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just wondered because a few short days ago you were pretty adamant that we absolutely had to spend a huge sum of money this summer, and that it wasn't possible to acquire half decent players without shelling out big money for each one.
And I don't want to "fill the team" with Academy players at all. I'd just like to see two or three more given the opportunity to step up and show what they can do.
Again, I'd rather see us give our own a chance than throw £60m a pop at the next Renato Sanches, Tielemans, Aouar or Keita.
Otherwise, more important than looking to spend money like it's going out of fashion, we could do with focussing, as Ole says, on finally getting the most out of the already very talented bunch of individuals we have in the squad.

They are strong defensively. Look at the shots against column.

Most teams they play won't have many shots against them due to the way they play.
