Fair play to city

I had thought that the 3 games city had this week would be tough for them to gain max Pts , to be fair they have made it look easy albeit against 3 very soft performances . However they have put the pressure back on us . Suspect that will get ramped up more after the Utd game as I don’t think we will win that . Going to be a great run in and whilst I had hoped we had a bigger gap let’s not forget we are still in it and playing well with most of our players fit again

City were always favourites. I think most of the sensible ones on here always alluded to that.

We're just happy to be in the mix with one of the best PL sides ever.

Im not 'just' happy for that, however this raises an interesting point.

If City dont win it with that squad and the money they have spent then surely serious questions should be asked of them?

Money spent is one thing, but before Christmas it was many of your camp claiming to have the best defence in Europe, the best front 3 in Europe, and having just signed a Cm better than Pogba, despite all the money spent in just happy City have stayed in the mix with such a side 😜

I’m not sure what the point is: if I remember correctly, you lot haven’t exactly been skinflints over the last few windows. What serious questions should we ask of Liverpool if they slip up again?

You didn't sell anyone for £142m though.

what? so that means you didn't actually fork out for them?

No, it means we sold one of our best players to get to where we are now. City haven't had to do that. They can spend what they want, when they want. You even bought Mahrez just for the sake of it.

posted on 11/2/19

But you still bought them, right?

posted on 11/2/19

Mahrez probably not the best example given we turned over more than 500m last year

And?

I'd like to know the cost of their squad compared to ours. I'm not expecting it to be consisting of:
VVD (free because we sold Coutinho); Keita (free because we sold Coutinho); Allison (free because we sold Coutinho).

Your comment that we can spend whatever we want whenever we want implies we still rely on taking handouts whenever we want. Which isn’t strictly true as the club isn’t really in that stage any more. We bought Mahrez because we can afford to, in our own right based on what we’ve turned over.
