Jack Clarke

Awful to hear he had health issue on Saturday and heartening to hear of the calibre of medical support and well wishes from all, particularly the sensible comments from Pulis.

Clarke has proven to be an immense talent, I trust the club is ensuring his health is properly evaluated, and that he’ll get clean bill of health to continue his career.

I’m uncomfortable with some suggesting it’s a serious health problem. Just give the young man time to get well and send our best wishes.

I specifically didn't want to speculate myself too much in public on the cause, just great to see that attention was swift and helpful, that Pulis said the right thing (some would have bemoaned the delays) and that, most importantly, Jack Clarke is up and about and in one piece.

Yes - Pulis went up slightly in my estimation with his comments.

Hopefully just a wobbly moment for Clarke after exhausting himself. It does raise questions about the lad's lack of stamina though if it was just a blood-sugar level issue. Other youngsters play the full 90 without a problem.

I hope it's not a serious underlying problem for him.

It's very possible to feel faint after running hard, add on the anxiety and pressure of the level of the game and his age. I'm sure he'll be fine.

Get well Jack!

Of course, we noticed something was amiss in the stadium but too far away to even know who it was.

I'm sorry but unless there are indications Jack Clarke has a serious condition, can we just send him our best wishes and not second-guess whether he was under-nourished or whether he had breakfast that morning.

You not sent him flowers and best wishes then Lorra?

I hear rumours of low blood sugar - does he suddenly have diabetes type 1 ? Hope he'll be fine, he's such a great player. People with DT1 manage well. Still we don't really know what happened.

I read this on Not606:

“The 18yo has been told to rest for a week following breathing problems during the latter stages of the Boro game on Saturday...”

I'm willing to stand corrected but isn't this just a young man who was taken ill with something that nothing more than a good meal and rest will cure? Stop pampering the poor guy or we'll never get him back on the pitch this season.
