Inspired by the complete lack of faith I have in Pogba over the penalty spot, who should be on corners, FKs and penalties?
It has been some years since we could say with almost certainty who would be hitting each.
Pogba's technique is more of a hinderance to him than goalkeepers and it is clear now he has a preferred side (to the keeper's left). The predictability could cost us.
In order of preference/on the pitch:
PK - Martial, Mata, Pogba, Herrera, Rashford
FK - Mata, Pereira, Rashford, Pogba, Young
RH Corner - Mata, Pereira, Rashford
LH Corner - Mata, Pereira, Shaw
Young's crossing is diabolical so no point having him on them. Shaw has hit a few since Ole took over and have been decent. I also dislike the idea of players being well out of position for the counter so him at that side makes sense rather than taking someone over.

As soon as Pogs misses a pen, I expect there to be line of people waiting to bend him over for it.
His pens have been quality, tucked right into the corner, he took a couple of schit ones and scored from the rebound. The only other person I have confidence in taking them is Herrera, who has smashed them in top bins.
Quick prediction: I expect Pogba to go down the middle with his next pen.

I don't like the down the middle penalties. If the keeper guesses right then he saves it. If you go to either corner and hit it properly, even if the keeper guesses right he still might not get there in time.

Neither do I to be honest but he’s missed a couple to the left and slotted away the majority down the right with his recent ones.
Just a feeling.

as for your other choices the likes of mata and moreso Pereira will have limited game time, we need players who are going to be consistantly playing to be taking them

The amount of games we'll play without 1 of those choices on the pitch would be in the low single digits.

I'd have Rashford on Pens. But for now with Pogba, seems to work.

Rashford always looks dangerous on free kicks.
Martial would be our best pen taker based on mentality.

I think Sir Matt would agree - Rashford has hit some nasty FK's since Ole, and Martial really looks like a hit man on PK duty. But on corners we need to sort out positioning, as we're wide open for counters if we immediately lose possession. That almost cost us a couple of times recently.

Keepers rarely just wait for a pen down the middle though... they always dive one way or the other, usually before the taker has kicked the ball in order to get right to the corner.

Yeh, but even if they start to dive, they have the chance of saving with their feet.
You basically have 5 options with a penalty. Top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right or down the middle. You say that keepers don't often stay down the middle, but some will wait and react to the shot, knowing that if the taker doesn't get it quite right they have a chance of making the save. Also, with a shot down the middle, if the keeper doesn't move, 99% chance it is getting saved. With shots to the side, the keeper will often get a hand to it but not stop it, or they go the right way and it goes under them etc.
Before the world cup opta did a study on world cup penalties and only 58% of those hit low and centrally are scored. Top let and top right were about 90% I think.
